Is Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury in ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Episode 2?

The latest TV spot features an eye-patch covering the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo, warning fans not to miss the end of Tuesday’s all-new episode.

Earlier today, we showed you the latest TV spot for tomorrow night's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode "0-8-4", which stresses that viewers should watch all the way up until the very end. However, we didn't notice that the eagle on the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo was wearing an eye patch, which may hint that Marvel's The Avengers star Samuel L. Jackson is making an appearance as Nick Fury. Take a look at the TV spot in question.

In addition, the show's official Facebook page left the following message along with the TV spot.

"Be sure to stay until the end of the credits on Tuesday. In true Marvel fashion, you never know what might happen. #SHIELD084"

Series creator Joss Whedon revealed in a previous interview that he would love to have Samuel L. Jackson return as the eyepatch-wearing leader of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"We would love to have Sam in the house. If we could work it out, we'd do it in a heartbeat. He's Sam."

Samuel L. Jackson himself revealed in a December 2012 interview, before the show was even ordered to series by ABC, that he would like to be a part of the show, perhaps as just the voice of Nick Fury.

"I don't know. I keep hearing about it, and I haven't talked to Joss about it. But in my mind, I would tend to think that he would, if nothing else, be like Charlie in Charlie's Angels. At least be the voice!"

Tune in tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1 at 8 PM ET when Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns with "0-8-4", to see if Nick Fury pops up.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode 1.2, "0-8-4" stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Morgan Benoit, Eyad Elbitar} and is directed by David Straiton}.

@ghostman Even if it was in stock footage, then that would be good.

@themoviefanatic Maybe in stock footage, or a pre-recorded voice that is heard off screen but the actor is never seen on screen.

@ghostman Yes, I definitely understand that. But, I figure that wouldn't hurt to maybe have one of them on the show for one episode, in a cameo appearance for at least one scene or two on the show.

@themoviefanatic...Cuz Fury is a bastard and wouldnt want the Avengers to know he played them

@themoviefanatic Yes I know, but you have to understand this is Agents of SHIELD, not Agents of SHIELD and the Avengers. They are off busy doing things solo, the show is about SHIELD, and not them.

@bane5000 Why do you think he would not allow that ?

@ghostman I watched tonight's episode. He was definitely in the show. But, His appearance in the show, doesn't make it any better :( . I hope that we will eventually see one of the cast of the Avengers team, from the Avengers movie in Agents of Shield.

I would like to see them mix it up with Spiderman or some of the X-Men. An exert from ASM or other films just to open up the world even more.

Well its no brainer that Samuel Jackson also made television, remember Afro Samurai. So yeah he might rather make a cameo, showing him talking a hologram or something.
