Is John Noble the villian in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII?
There is still much we do not know about Star Wars: Episode VII, aside from the fact that J.J. Abrams is directing from a screenplay by Michael Arndt. Today, we have an unsubstantiated rumor from an Australian radio host that Fringe star John Noble will play the villain. Here's what the host Jo of Melbourne radio show FM had to say.

"(I have) it on very good authority that Aussie actor John Noble will be appearing as the villain."

While the news may seem to come out of left field, John Noble is no stranger to big-budget franchises. He played Denethor in Peter Jackson's The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King. Of course, he already has a relationship with director J.J. Abrams from his work on Fringe, the Fox series which the filmmaker created alongside Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Nothing has been confirmed by Disney or LucasFilm yet, so stay tuned.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes to theaters December 18th, 2015 and stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

He'd be perfect as a transitional villain. Like a mentor Sith that dies at the end of Episode VII, leading to a younger, scarier villain for the next two films.

  28. the Narrator

Who does he look like? Thawn? Gilad Pellaeon perhaps? Oh, wait, it's a whole new world by George Lucas. Stupid me, thinking they'd consider taking one of the numerous routes laid out for them by dozens of writers over several decades...

Seriously, Noble's a pretty cool cat, so I'm obviously excited to hear more about this. He can now possibly tell his kids and grandchildren that he was first in both LotR and Star Wars. Not many people can say that... if any.
