Gwyneth Paltrow spoke about how her character Pepper Potts has changed from 2008's Iron Man to this movie.

"It's sort of the comic-book version of a Cinderella story. She starts timid and sort of cleaning up after Tony, and then she evolves into full strength and a superhero."

Robert Downey Jr. also teased a pivotal moment that occurs at the end of Iron Man 3, which may make things interesting for Joss Whedon's Phase Two sequel The Avengers 2. Here's what the actor had to say about a conversation he had with producer Kevin Feige about that scene.

"What does this mean if we wind up doing an Avengers 2? Kevin looked at me and said, 'That's Joss' problem to solve.' I was like, 'Good man.'"

Director Shane Black also spoke about the climax of the sequel.

"I thought we needed to do something in the third movie to make it feel like a game-changer."
