see what I think people are forgetting or not SEEING, is that Wanted is based off of a comic book series as well... people just went in thinking it was an over the top action movie. Wrong. The movie has roots and originality, Hellboy is just unreal.

Phat, I would think that it's becouse if Hellboy's roots. Never have thought of that in this kind of way but the main reason I think is that Hellboy is being seen like a comic book movie (mostly by comic book fans) and taken it less seriously becouse of that fact. But to movies like Wanted people go to see some reality not knowing of it's style but what they wind up seeing is some action packed over-the-top unbelievability(hell, I don't know if there's even such word). But I get your point and I think I totally agree with you.

phatlightning people have seen stuff like wanted already. The Matrix, for starters and Max Payne is coming out this year. Its not surprising but Hellboy is original sure he's based on a comic. But its put to the big screen with real actors.

I don't care what anybody says this has to be one of the best years for movies in a long time. By the look of it Hell Boy 2 should be better than the first one.

not excited for this, gotta love how people can critique wanted for its fictionality but think nothing of a giant red leprechaun with a hammer for a fist who thwarts evil creatures for the FBI.. much more believable.
