Hawkeye Gets A New Costume in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'

Elizabeth Olsen is spotting fighting alongside Jeremy Renner on the set of this Marvel sequel, currently shooting in Italy with director Joss Whedon.

Director Joss Whedon is currently in Italy shooting Avengers: Age of Ultron with a select few members of the cast, creating what will be some of the biggest action sequences seen on screen in 2015. Jeremy Renner was spotted in his new Hawkeye costume fighting alongside Scarlet Witch, as they battle extras and stunt performers to capture villain Ultron, who has been spotted in his motion capture gear. While we'll have to wait for VFX to be added to get a good look at Ultron, we do get some nice photos of Renner showing off his new wardrobe change, as well as some photos from earlier in the week, where he wore his iconic sleeveless tunic.

The new uniform is fairly accurate to what is portrayed in the comic books. Jeremy Renner isn't the only one getting a new uniform in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Captain America and Iron Man will also get new costumes. As you may know, Tony Stark destroyed his arsenal of Iron Man suits in Iron Man 3. He will be getting two new suits of armor, including the Hulkbuster, which we'll be seeing on screen for the first time.

Chris Evans confirmed at the Captain America: The Winter Soldier press junket that Steve Rogers will also be getting a new uniform, including a World War II jacket, which may be seen in a flashback.

Avengers: Age of Ultron comes to theaters May 1st, 2015 and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Elizabeth Olsen, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner. The film is directed by Joss Whedon.

@undeadslayer4 I mean I think they knew that comic book costume would look ridiculous, so they redesigned it to look more practical and less stupid, but used purple accents on the suit as a nod to the classic comic costume.

@shuabert It makes sense if both Black Widow and Hawkeye disband from SHIELD after the events that happen in The Winter Soldier. I guess we have to find out next week.

@shuabert It features more purple coloring to his suit, and the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo is missing.

I can't really tell the difference, other than the tunic-type covering he seems to be wearing in the first pic.
