Fans who plan on seeing Sin City: A Dame to Kill For this weekend will be the first to check out the teaser trailer for Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight. Following the trailer description from yesterday, Collider is reporting that The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence is in negotiations for a role in the Western.

When the director staged a live reading of his screenplay back in April, there were only two female roles, Daisy Domergue and Six-Horse Judy, which were read by Amber Tamblyn and Zoe Bell.

We reported last month that the director plans on using the entire cast from is live reading, including Bruce Dern (The Confederate), Samuel L. Jackson (The Bounty Hunter), Kurt Russell (The Hangman), Amber Tamblyn (The Prisoner), Walton Goggins (The Sheriff), Michael Madsen (The Cow Puncher) and Tim Roth (The Little Man) and James Remar. However, the cast hasn't been officially announced yet, and the director did work on the script some more after the live read. While it's possible that Jennifer Lawrence could play either Daisy Domergue or Six-Horse Judy, she may also be portraying brand new character that the filmmaker added after the live read.

Of course, none of this has been confirmed yet, and it isn't even clear if Jennifer Lawrence's schedule will be clear. There will likely be reshoots on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 next year, and she is also starring in David O. Russell's Joy, which is already set for a Christmas Day 2015 release, although it isn't known when production will begin. Since The Hateful Eight is scheduled to begin production next year for an unspecified 2015 release date, it's possible there may be a scheduling conflict, if the actress does sign on the dotted line for The Hateful Eight.
