Harrison Ford May Be Signed for Two More 'Indiana Jones' Movies

The actor is rumored to be in talks for two more back-to-back sequels that will be included in his 'Star Wars: Episode VII' contract.
Is Harrison Ford coming back for two more Indiana Jones movies? That's today's hot rumor, as the 71-year-old actor gears up to reprise the iconic archeologist in the very near future.

You may have noticed that Harrison Ford has been extremely tight-lipped about his involvement in Star Wars: Episode VII. Market Saw claim this is because the actor is still in negotiations to return as Han Solo for the first time since 1983's Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. Both of the new Indiana Jones movies are included as stipulations in his Star Wars contract, which means he will only come back if he is allowed to also reprise his role as Dr. Henry Jones Jr. in not one, but two new movies. They will likely be shot fairly close together, due to the actor's age.

Indiana Jones 5 has not been officially announced or confirmed by Disney, but the studio acquired the rights to the franchise in December.

Harrison Ford has openly expressed a greater interest in doing Indiana Jones 5 over Star Wars: Episode VII, and it seems this may be the bargaining chip Disney and LucasFilm are using to lure him back into the seat of the Millinium Falcon.

At this time, though heavily rumored, Harrison Ford has still not been confirmed as an official cast member of Star Wars: Episode VII.

Indiana Jones 5 is in development .

@h-ryuga That would be a terrible move on their part honestly. Hopefully That never happens, especially considering that his appearance the fourth movie was not necessary.

@ObiWanShinobi That's literally one of the only two comments @2movieguys ever makes. Either "I guess the rent is due" or "who is this actor I've never heard of whom everyone else loves?"

So it'll work as film 5 and 6.
Now with Shia out of the picture just cast someone else.

The end of Indy 4 wasn't Lucas fault, it was Steven.
As of this rumor announcement,I don't want to see another Indy Jones film. If it happens, it happens, if not who bloody cares.

There's another route it can go, a younger version of Indy. Between film 3 and 4 as Indy tells the story to his son as they face down an old enemy of his.

I'm confused: wasn't it HIM who said the last one was kinda tough to do because of his age & he pretty much accepted that would be his last hurrah? I guess he just can't leave it alone considering how awful it was & how it tarnished the Indy legacy? I tend to agree that they could write something once that could re-capture some of that magic at his age but two more's pushing it. Maybe if they somehow went backward in the timeline to include Sean Connery somehow and made it an Indy 3.5 it could work, I don't know, but no more Shia is mandatory for it to have a shot at success at this point, regardless.

@thedarkknight-28 You got that all backwards. Ford is making it a stipulation. If Disney doesn't agree to give him 2 more Indy movies, he won't agree to do Star Wars for them.

I love the older Jones movies. I just think he is too old to make a Great Indiana movie. They should just quit now before his legacy is damaged more

I can't believe that they are making him do 2 more Indiana Jones movies, I like Indiana Jones just as much as anyone else and I think it is great that he is coming back to play Han Solo considering that he had no interest in Star Wars for years. Now they are trying to push 2 other movie projects with the same contract, and they still have not begun filming this. Thats just wrong, some people are just to greedy. This could set back the production and filming of the movie itself. Then all of you that think that the Indiana Jones movies are great will be just as disappointed when he declines If he turns it down, that means no Han Solo. Consider this, the rest might follow.
