Other sites are now reporting that Willis left because they wouldn't give him 4 million dollars for 4 days of work. They offered him 3 million dollars!!!! Willis should be shunned from Hollywood from here on out.

there are so many things that may have put off Willis. To big a cast, too many one liners, rehashing what they used to be, the first film had teeth but the second lacked something. The first one had swearing in it, the second one didn't.
Maybe Bruce wanted a bigger role, more money.
I don't know why people think Bruce is a dick, the only dick is Stallone who still thinks he's a teenager. Grow up old man.
Both you and Arnold are too old.
People like Jason have replaced you and are the next generation of action stars.
Jason, Vin, Paul, The Rock Johnson - eh I know.

stallone has no room to talk. greedy and lazy?! Spy kids 3? Rocky Balboa? Rambo? and now he's doing a movie about apollo creed, but rocky is still in it. That. Is lazy. Shut the hell up.. I mean I liked the last rambo but still he just keeps revamping his classics. And now he's doing it with expendables. There is probably gonna be a 4th. I hated the last one. It was sooo corny. All they did was make puns about their famous movies from the 80's. People only watch this sh*t for Statham okay. I don't blame willis for leaving expendables 2 was awful..

Man he was a great now Bruce is turning into his own worst enemy such a shame, I listen to Kevin smith podcast and he had such a hard time directing him in "COP OUT" Want a *sshole

Bruce Willis used to be one of my favorite actors, if not my favorite. However, in the last ten years, he has become quite an *sshole and there has been endless evidence of this. He threatened a member of the paparazzi after Bruce ran into him. BRUCE RAN INTO 'HIM'. He was a complete dick during a recent interview for AGDTDH. I read in an interview with Justin Long that Bruce Willis was one of his least favorite actors to work with. He got hammered at a basketball game and made a fool of himself. Still, that's neither here nor there. It isn't right for Stallone, who supposedly very close to Willis, to try and defame him publicly as somebody else said. That's just childish. Willis will do that on his own, but Stallone shouldn't try to simply because he won't star in his movie. If I remember correctly, Willis did the first Expendables practically free.

@ejk1 Yea Stallone pulled a real douche move calling out Willis on Twitter. I am sure we will get a tweet in a few days saying his comments were taken out of context. And I agree Looper was awesome and honestly Willis played second fiddle to Levitt so I dont see how he is greedy or lazy

@ejk1 agree with you there, we don't know exactly what happened that Bruce decided to drop out but Sly's move is wrong, going public to defame an icon like Will. I'm not a big fan of Bruce's films but that is just me.

Stallone's out of his f*cking mind with that quote. Look at your own resume before you talk trash, dude. For every Color Of Night, there's a Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. As far as the last few years, I'll take Looper over The Expendables any day of the week.

Greedy and lazy...just because he doesn't use steroids to stay ripped into his late 60's doesn't mean he's lazy or greedy. If he's greedy, he would have stayed on your flick. What this really comes down to is ego, and if Sly wanted to call Willis on having too big of an ego, fine, go for it. But please, don't tell me it's about greed. Not from someone that's pumping God knows what into his body to make another action film, because he doesn't have the chops to do anything else (Copland and the first two Rocky's were obvious exceptions).

Was he ever essential in the expendable films? I mean, that's like losing a dime and a gaining a quarter. He was barely in those films. Maybe harrison's character would bring a whip or something :P.

Expendables 3 isn't going to matter. Die Hard 5 for Bruce Willis was an Atom Bomb to his legacy.

  18. Brandon S. Todd

Bruce Willis has been acting with extraordinary laziness...Die Hard 5 showed that he is just doing it strictly for the money now; all of them do, but they at least put some effort into the business and perform well for the sake of their films and their characters. I grew up watching Bruce Willis as Butch in Pulp Fiction. Now I watch em, and it's like watching a grumpy grandpa, ready to go home and take a fat nap. Stallone is right. Greedy and Laziness will end an actors career. Bruce Willis, as evident in his recent pictures, is being both Greedy and Lazy. It's a shame. Such an American Icon, suddenly ruining his own career.

@renodc It is not just that film. Look at all of his recent work. No matter what role he does the same tired lazy routine in all of his films nowadays. He really seems uninterested. And a recent interview he did where he forgot where he filmed a film made that point ever so true.
