The entire track list for Guardians of the Galaxy has not yet been released, but the cover has, revealing Peter Quill's Awesome Mix Vol. 1. While we don't know every song that Star-Lord will rock out to on his adventure, we do know that he particularly loves Blue Swede's "Hooked On a Feeling", Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky", and The Runaways' "Cherry Bomb", which we've previously heard in the trailers and TV spots. These tunes are expected to be accompanied by Tyler Bates' score when the album is released at the end of July. Take a look:
Interesting to note, Spirit in the Sky was originally released in 1969, as was Hooked on a Feeling. While Cherry Bomb was released in 1976. The idea that Quill's mix tape is from the 80s is a little misleading. Only his beloved Walkman is from that era. The soundtrack is available now for pre-order: CLICK HERE. The Guardians of the Galaxy album will be in stores on July 29.
We also have a new international poster for you to check out, which features alternate art of the Guardians of the Galaxy gathering for their galaxy-saving mission.
