Warner Bros. has issued an October 4, 2013 release date for Gravity, director Alfonso Cuarón's outer-space thriller starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. The film will have a lot of competition, going up against Delivery Man, Paranoia, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith 3D.

Sandra Bullock stars as Dr. Ryan Stone, a medical engineer on her first space mission with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney). Disaster strikes when their space shuttle is destroyed, and they are stranded in outer space, tethered to nothing but themselves.

Alfonso Cuarón is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jonás Cuarón. We'll keep you posted as soon as the first trailer finally surfaces.

Gravity was released October 4th, 2013 and stars Sandra Bullock, George Clooney, Ed Harris, Orto Ignatiussen, Paul Sharma, Amy Warren, Basher Savage. The film is directed by Alfonso CuarĂ³n.

    @dan1 Seems like it's as fair a shake as I can expect from you given the circ*mstances. In other words, it sounds good.

    @dan1 Why not both, amigo? I mean, matinee this or something. Clooney will only be a supporting character. Bullock, as overrated as she is nowadays, will be the main star with the cinematography being the main attraction. At the end of the day, though, I wish they'd stuck with the original cast of Scarlett and Robert Downey Jr.

    I know @dan1 isn't a fan of Clooney, but this sounds like something he'd enjoy.

    This one sounds awesome.

    @ejk1 My thoughts exactly.

    @moviegeek Agreed, and not just because of the films legendary cinematography. I love that they're using a picture from Soalris, though. I hope this film is nothing like that one.

    Star Wars:ROTS is not bad, but why would anyone waste their time and money on it again? 3D is not enough in my eyes. If Gravity and Sin City both don't lay waste to ROTS, it'll be a shocker.
