Gotham: Batman TV Series Gets Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock

The 'Sons of Anarchy' star will play Jim Gordon's partner and mentor in this upcoming Fox series based on the DC Comics.

Donal Logue (Sons of Anarchy, Vikings, Copper) has been cast as Detective Harvey Bullock in Fox and Warner Bros. Television's one-hour drama project Gotham, which has a series commitment at the network.

Jim Gordon's (Ben McKenzie) partner and mentor, the rough-around-the-edges Detective Harvey Bullock plays loose with police procedure, but he gets results ... And he does it with old-school, forceful panache.

Based upon characters published by DC Comics, Gotham is a drama exploring the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains that made Gotham famous.

Bruno Heller (The Mentalist, Rome) wrote the pilot script and will serve as executive producer. Danny Cannon (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Nikita) will direct and executive produce the pilot.

Series regulars cast to date are Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Essen, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth and Robin L. Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot (aka The Penguin).

@undeadslayer4 The rating and review sections are downright awful and dirty. Maybe one day we can get some answers about this.

@thedude1 I don't even think @movieweb has moderators anymore. I used to be one for the forums back in the day, but everything changed when they did their site redesign a few years ago.

As for this news, it's good? The jury is still out on this project, and it's hard to get excited about based on the concept, but I do think the casting of Logue and Ben McKenzie is promising, and Danny Cannon is a good showrunner. If this is as good as Nikita, it will be worth watching.

@cvntstop You can flag them now on this site. But apparently it does nothing. Maybe they can hire someone at 10 dollars an hour to help clean up this site.
