Friday the 13th Part 2 is still not moving forward
Platinum Dunes producer Bradley Fuller took to his Twitter account over the weekend to set the record straight on a few of his projects. Here's what he said about Friday the 13th Part 2 in 3D:

(Damian) Shannon and (Mark) Swift wrote a great script. We are ready to go, when new line is ready. But as of yet, they are not ready."

The last we heard about Friday the 13th Part 2 in 3D was back in April, when Bradley Fuller essentially said the project is dead, and it doesn't seem like things have changed. Bradley Fuller also said that a sequel to A Nightmare on Elm Street isn't happening as well:

"As for Freddy, as far as I know, there isnt even talk of writing another script."

He also said that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is still in the scripting stage, although more details should be available soon:

"TMNT is coming along. We are working On the script and I hope to have many more details for you in 4 to 6 weeks."

Finally, Bradley Fuller said that the script for the Platinum Dunes remake of Monster Squad should be ready soon also:

"Since a few people asked, monster squad is being written and he hope to have a script in the next few weeks."

Friday the 13th comes to theaters May 13th, 2016. The film is directed by David Bruckner.

A Nightmare on Elm Street was released April 30th, 2010 and stars Jackie Earle Haley, Kyle Gallner, Rooney Mara, Katie Cassidy, Thomas Dekker, Kellan Lutz, Clancy Brown, Connie Britton. The film is directed by Samuel Bayer.

Seriously, look at this guy's upcoming projects. F*cking horrendous. Do not pay money to see any of these films. Absolutely zero creativity.

Oh come on just let the dead horse stay where he is. I really don't want any sequels, reboots, re-imaging, or re-tellings.

@Kinetic Neither the Friday the 13th and NOES remakes for utterly terrible and unbearable. They just don't beat the originals, however, only because people refused to let them be, in other words, they wanted to hate them, so they did.

@dan1 the remake of friday the 13th was good and effectively merged the original first 3 films.

the freddy remake took the fear away from him that wes had created over 25 years ago. Now they made the movie into a total suck fest because they ruined the movie and took senes out and also while im talking about this Rob Zombie should have never ever ever remade Halloween now that was a real disappointment

the nightmare and friday remakes were OKAY. nothing to write home about though. i dont think they really need sequels. as far as the monster squad remake, it's just another useless remake that will never top the original. not looking forward to it at all.

the jason remake was good..for a remake..and for coming off from after freddy vs. jason..it was a good remake..maybe its just me though cuz im a big jason Fan. but its true..all movies like jason and all them r just outplayed and sh*t..just a gorey fest. but i liked the remake as a restart of the franchaise it was a good 1..and i cant wait for the second 1 if it comes out..

I really did not find anything to like about the remake. It was again just your usual gore fest.

Never been a big Friday fan, but the remake wasn't bad.

And well in concerns to TMNT, it be interesting to see Platinum Dunes tackle the Kids box office and in accordance to Monster Squad.....GTFO I don't even wanna know, cant beat the original

I agree, A Nightmare On Elm Street Remake was was a alright concept but the script was really weak and looked to reminiscence to the original, JEH was the only good thing.

But when you watch the original and remake back to back on a big screen the original destroys the remake, I remember the screening, people fell asleep during the remake and woke up at the beginning of the original ANOES cheering.

    What the heck???
The TMNT movie was supposed to be a Live-Action film that was supposed to be out for the 25th anniversary, at this rate, it'll be out for the 30th....

oh and one more thing plat dunes...it really helps if you have characters that we can actually care about before they get hacked up. I know that for that type of film it could be counter-productive as its a slasher film but hell look at the cheap aussie film Wolf Creek; by the time the carnage starts you actually feel more involved with each character (and i know that was a tough movie to watch for most as well).

I dont know why the studios think that character development is not important in horror films.

whew...i think that is more than i have said on this site in quite a while. Interested to hear what you all think.

They should have known not to touch the Nightmare franchise...no Egnland, no Freddy. When you have a silent stalker like jason, well you dont have as much to live up to...cuz he just...ya know....stalks. I did not mind the F13 remake but part 6 in the original series is still my all time fav.

Nightmare was setting itself up for an audience backlash just by mentioning it was happening.

Having said that (and i know i am probably in the minority) but i liked the last F13. However, the Chainsaw remake is still Plat Dunes high mark for cheesy remakes. Just ny opinion.

Both the Freddy and Jason remakes sucked to high heaven. The friday the 13th remake was subpar to any of the previous movies. As for the Freddy remake ummmm its not worth commenting thats how had it was needless to say i felt like wearing a paper bag over my face when i actually purchased the DVD's in the used section of blockbuster it was a shame to see these two great horror franchises next to that other bomb Gigli....

@Brian I didn't feel there was a need to redo the original Nightmare anyways. Jackie Earle Haley is a cool dude, but that is Robert Englund's character through and through. The script was weak as f*ck, too.

As for another Friday, I didn't see the remake, but I remember it getting panned pretty hard. Here's hoping they make the sequel solid ala Halloween remake (awesome remake).
