Fox Set to Renew 'Dollhouse'?

Some new inside information reveals the network is leaning towards a renewal.

It seems that one freshman Fox series might be getting a surprise pick-up on Monday. According to The Hollywood Reporter, their sources are revealing that Fox executives are leaning towards picking up the Joss Whedon series Dollhouse for a second season.

The series was one of the biggest bubble series, and it was revealed recently that the show still was in contention for a renewal, but the high cost of the show was to be the determining factor.

The site did say that the decision could in fact change before the network's upfront presentation on Monday, but, for now, it seems the network is in favor of renewing the series. The site also reported that NBC bubble series Chuck "almost certainly" will be renewed as well.

I just read that Dollhouse was renewed but it remains on Friday nights, do not think that is very smart.

That sucks I guess that mean no Terminator. Why do fox constantly take good shows off the air then when other network decide to air reruns(Family Guy, Futurama)and they blow up they decide to take it back. Another thing why oh why would you put a show on Friday nights when the majority of the demographic the show is aimed at are hanging out with friends chasing skirts lol

I'm assuming they mean the cost compared to reality tv and all that crap.

I had no idea the series had such a high cost. It's not very special effects heavy. At least, not compared to other sci-fi shows.

Great news. I was all prepared for it to be cancelled. They need to renew it and put it on another night instead of Friday. Seems the Friday night spot is almost always the kiss of death.

Well I sure hope so. It started out a little iffy but ended the season strong. Joss Whedon can still write good TV.
