I think since I watched Once Upon a Time in China, and Jet Li proved to me that he didn't suck, I have high hopes for Hero.

I own the official ALL region DVD improted from China, that is not pirated at all. I got it April of last year at one of the Chinatown DVD/VCD stores here in San Francisco. It is one hell of a good movie. Most Chinese I think say this movie is better then Crouching Tiger And Hidden Dragon. I don't know about people of other caltures who have only seen Crouching Tiger And Hidden Dragon, Jackie chan movies and John Woo's Hollywood movies, will all of you like it. But you can give it a try you don't have take my words for it. But I say the fight sceens are real good better then Crouching Tiger And Hidden Dragon. I own the DD 5.1 imported DVD, and the movie is in Mandarin and there is also English sub. There is also a ALL region DTS one imported from China. The 2 disc HK one is a Region 3 DVD. I don't understand Mandarin at all and only Cantonese, so I have to put on the English subs, unlike my parents who understands both Cantonese and Mandarin.

I saw the Chinese version about a year ago, so this movie has been out for a while. Of course I had to put on the English subtitles. The movie is very well shot and the story is excellent. The fighting scenes are very well coordinated with a bunch of "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" fighting style. I can't wait until the English version comes out. Also the ending is very surprising. And it is color coordinated like crazy.

Hero is a great movie with a great plot of things. Plus, there is a lot of action in this movie more than Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Also, keep in mind that the action sequences are well shot and choreographed. HoO-YAH! :rambo: It WOULD BE WORTH YOUR MONEY AND TIME.
