lions gate films

apparently lions game films will start construction of a new studio or something to that measure in new mexico, rio rancho. this will be the first studio they will have in the U.S. From what ive heard they are the biggest independent film producers. any information on lions gate films would be awsome. In the state of New Mexico, a attempt to pull in more movie makers there is a 0% interest in loans for movies.




By the way this is the first post ive made in 9 months.

Hi Ceasar, wb. Besides Crash, Lions Gate hasn't made a good film in a long time. 90% of their movies are stupid formulaic teenage slasher flicks. As evidence look at their release this weekend: See No Evil. Overall i probably care for their movies least of all the studios, and i think they have a long way to go before they are mentioned along with the big 4 of Paramount, WB, Universal, and Dreamworks.

But, for what it's worth, they're Canadian-based.

And hey, a Leonard Cohen movie and Crash hardly count as bad. And I don't really want to see Hard Candy since it just looks too freaky, but it does have Shadowcat and that pretty man from Angels in America in it.

I love almost every Lions Gate movie I've seen. It seems like lions gate is the only movie company that has the balls to make a movie that people might cringe a little bit over.
