Anybody notice the extreme similarities between these 2 films?

WARNING - MILD SPOILERS, nothing too bad

"Love Object" - Boy's lonely and depressed, can't get a girl, shy, does some things a little creepy (maybe just because he's really shy) to cope with it, eventually gets to know the girl, then things get really messed up. First half of the movie's kinda dull, but 2nd haf picks up so well, you end up loving this sick and twisted, amazing, film!

"May" - Girl's lonely and deprssed, can't get a boy, shy...and finish it with exactly what I said on the above paragraph.

Anybody seen both these movies and realize that major simillarity?

Either way they're both awesome films that came out around the same time, so I doubt anybody copied off the other, but I just thought that was interesting.

I have never heard of these. Are they new? I don't watch to many new horror movies, all the same shit.

I'm not a horror fan either so Knightofnee, u might like them. They're not totally horror, more pyscho, twisted, horrifying, romance, thrillers.

"May" is becoming a cult hit very quickly, about as quick as Donnie Darko became one (it's only 1 year or so old).
Love Object is so simliar, I think, that it might not get popular due to people thinking it's a rip off of "May" (it came out on video just recently), but like I said, they're very similiar, though completely different flicks at the same time and they both rock!

I will check them out. By the way, I am a horror fanatic. I just think almost everything made after 1990 has been trash. except, o.g. Scream, Silence of the Lambs, Sixth Sense and a few others.

I caught the movie "May" on cable late night. It was actually one of the best movies I have seen in a while, of the horror genre. And this is from a woman that found The Village, Resident Evil 2 and others disappointing.
What I am hoping here, is that some one owns it, and can post the sound track to it?
I can tried researching it online but can't seem to get what I need.
Kelley Deal 6000 (The Breeders) Have a song on it called "Scary", I think..and there's a Breeders song "Do you love me now?". But I know there's a few more I liked in the flick, and I'd like ot buy the cds or some thing.
Any help is appreciated.
Oh, and if you haven't watched "May" yet, don't miss it ;)
