Have any of you ever seen a movie with a character that was so scary that it's stuck with you for years, or even traumatized you? People often talk about phobias they've obtained due to years of watching horror movies, and many of them seem to be derived from creepy characters... thus, if you have experienced something like this, list the frightening characters below!
Mine include:
-the ever-so-obvious Pennywise from IT
-Samara from the Ring
-that creepy preacher-dude from Poltergeist 2

I still don't understand why people hate him so much. Was he just annoying? He didn't bother me.

Jar Jar was a poor attempt at comic relief. His speech gets on people's nerves. His "importance" to the plot of Ep 1 wasn't enough to excuse him from that.

Fair enough.

While he didn't add anything to the movie, I agree with Krossroads, I didn't really find he took much away from it either.

Okay. To tell you the truth, I wasn't really as bothered by some of the prequels' major flaws as most people are, and I also think that people don't see the upsides.
I was simply pointing out why most people don't like him, since most people don't offer valid enough reasons.

That's very true. People are so put off by the fact that because it's not the original trilogy, Episode 1 is a bad film, which it's not. And Episode 2 had good moments, but as a whole it was a waste of potential.

I thought Star Wars 1 & 2 were pretty good... not good enough for me to watch them over and over again, but meh. I'm certainly not as critical of them as many people are. As for Jar-Jar, I had nothing against him... until I heard my sister quote the "Meeeeeesssssaaaaahhh Jahhh-Jahhh Binks!" thing for the billionth time. That pushed me over the edge. These days I'd say he, or at least my sister's version of him, definitely makes my "most traumatizing movie characters" list.

The possesed little girl in "The Exorcist". My uncle had that movie in 16MM format and would project it on a sheet in our house back in the day. I still get creeped out by the images.

Out of curiosity, when exactly was Halloween released, and when was the real Mike Myers (the comedian) born?

The original "Halloween" was released in 1978, and Myers was born May 25th, 1963.

The little wooden doll from "Trilogy of Terror". He was scary!!!
That movie made me think about Tikis, statues, Totems and spirits living in them. Remember when Greg Brady crashed his surfboard while wearing the bad luck Tiki charm?

Norman Bates from the 50s horror, Psycho, creeped the hell out of me. Just recently the little dead asian(?) girl from The Grudge has nothered me. Shes like a Japanese Samara with those creepy dead black eyes

Buzz and Woody from Toy Story. Talking toys - scary.
Seriously, though - the witches from The Witches. It wasn't supposed to be scary but it freaked me out so bad when I first saw it. All those bald women and everything *shudder*. 8O

I heard the woman from Psycho died last week. Don't ask me why I posted old news, but I just want to edit my mean pissed-off-mode post that used to be here.

Hey, the old lady from Psycho rotted to dust a week ago. Bitch can go to hell for being an old hag, and burn with Christopher Reeve.
