The Amityville Horror is one of my favorite horror films. Any other fans out there? I think the music has a lot to do with making it creepy. I also read the book before I ever saw the movie and I also think that affected my opinion, because the book gives you the feel that what you are reading is a true story, and that those people really went through all that trauma.

What is your opinion of this movie?

What do you think about the sequels? I'm not really a fan of them.

I love that movie too! I am too scared to watch it by myself though. I think that Jodie scares me the most.

Love the movie, been to the actual house too. Damn that place is creepy. It is exactly the same you see it in the movie, cept the changed minor details now, the chimmney is gone and the eye windows. The address is the same.

Little side note before you think we are all crazy: TRUE FACT: Many believe this house is cursed with bad luck. Now for the past 20 years nothing unusual has gone on untill September 11, 2001 when the son who lived their died in the WTC. Now i know this is a reach, but still fact none the less.

That's crazy. I liked the Amityville Horror. I like good haunted house movies and this is one of the best. I am not looking forward to the remake though. Just doesn't look good.

There is a new movie due out January 15, 2005, entitled Amityville. My guess is, based on The Amityville Horror. Not sure though.

those demonic luminus eyes starring back through the window at night scene freaked the hell out me. I couldn't get it out my head for a while. Another movie which scared me was The Brood.

growing up on long island like I did you go and look at the real house and guess what its just a house, I cant imagine leaving in it though, its a real nice house and its right on the water but it must be annoying since everyone knows where it is and what happened.

That sounds cool. I would like to spend the night in the house. Does anyone live in it now?

yeah they have people living in it now my friend was just by there and says the owners came out and yelled at them to leave they were just outside the house though I guess you have to get used to that sort of stuff. I think if the house was by itself it would be scary but its in a really highly populated area/

Well, Amityville, one of the classic of horror golden years. Creepy, yes, and the fact it was based on a true story, well, made it creepier.
Tough, it´s still scares me, yeap.
