Anyone see this show? It was an early film done by Peter Jackson about a groups of Aliens that take over a small town and grind up the townsfolk into meat to use at thier interstellar fast food restaraunts. So a small Govt. agency of Alien Killers are called into dispose of the Aliens.
The movie is hillarious. It is chaulk full of Blood and Gore, gore that I have never seen before or would even think that they could release something as this in a movie. For one instance, "The Boys" as the agency is called go into a house to save thier freind. One of The Boys drops a glass of Ice tea and his friend mops up the mess on the floor, when an alien stumbles into the kitchen, The Boys grab him and his head snaps off, and the character who was mopping gets mad when blood gushes all over the floor.
Hey I just Mopped. HAHAHAHAHAHA Oh shit.
Anyway, theres also Dead Alive.

Whats the deal with horror forum? How can a thread about bad taste just sit here untouched? Its one of the modern classics of the "b" horrorcomedy genre.
edited to add: Just for you "pop" movie fans. This is indeed the same Peter Jackson that is bringing us the Lord of the Rings saga. As Snatch also mentioned "Dead Alive" is another of his films of note. In my opinion it is the better of the two. Zombies galore and more blood and guts than you have ever imagined, think gas operated garning impliments + house fool of flesh eating zombies = GOOD TIMES.

Well thanks for pointing that out. I was confusing him with the other Peter Jackson.

Wait. Are you talking about Peter Jackson or PETER JACKSON? Or was it Petro Jacko? Shit.

Hmmm 4 comments on the admittedly obvious nature of my reply yet, not a single thing to say about the movie. Do you guys just sit around and bullshit or do you have anything worthwhile to say at all?

Do you guys just sit around and bullshit or do you have anything worthwhile to say at all? What would I have to say about the movie? It's the kind of crap made to make money from people who don't understand what real horror is. Bad acting, bad directing, bad writing, terrible effects. Need I go on, or do you really want people to talk about this crap?

What kind of horror gets to you guys? Psychological, Visual? Psychological fear is the best, especially when you wake up in a dark house and think that leatherface is right around the corner ready to bash you in the head with a mallet. Or when you get into your car and you check the back seat to see if there's an Alien with a straight razor ready to slash your eyeballs.
Bad Taste was hillarious.

I enjoy horror that relies on suspense rather than gore. I like movies like The Ring and Blair Witch, where you never actually SEE the thing that's killing people.

Real life. I hated KIDS and REQUIEM FOR A DREAM. Drugs are too close to my life...I keep it away.
What kind of horror gets to you guys?I'm not the biggest horror fan, due to the fact that most really supernatural films I refuse to watch. I like pretty much the same as everyone else, I like David Lynch for his unnerving psychological horror, things like Alien for their unnerving suspense and things like Scream for the jumps. I find films that deal with real life disturbing as hell, and I really like a good comical light hearted monster movie like Lake Placid. I just hated Bad Taste. 8)

Yes, films that deal with real life, like Requiem for a Dream are very disturbing, but in a good way. They make you think.

Was anyone else disturbed the first time they saw LOST HIGHWAY?
I think one of the reason lot's of people didn't like The Blair Witch Project, people were waiting to see a witch.
And when people tell me that Signs didn't scare them, I tell them that they have no soul.
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Signs was tense. It had a very jumpy atmosphere. It was shot brilliantly.

The Blair Witch Project scared me because I lived in Maryland for 5 years, and behind our house were woods, so that movie hit a soft spot. I used to be so scared of those woods and the dark, and that movie made sure you were scared of both of those. As for disturbing, The Dangerous Lives of the Alter Boys disturbed me so did Deloris Claiborne. Yeah, incest really disturbs me and kids getting killed or abused (physically/sexually). I didn't like Pay it Forward for that reason or Monster's Ball.

Aww..I LOVED Pay it Forward. It was heartwarming. It was the type of movie I could tell my mom to watch, and know she would enjoy it as much as I did.

Disturbing movies come from all areas of horror, like :
Arsenic and Old Lace (comedy, that leaves you with that feeling that you just can't trust anyone - even old ladies).
The Sixth Sense (even if I don't have it, what if I'm sitting in a room with a dead person right next to me! Hey, it sure got cold in here all of a sudden).
Feardotcom (won't even tell you what my worst fear is...) 8O
Halloween Series (why won't Micheal Meyers die!)
Mulholland Dr. (say what? That's freaky. At the end of the movie, I hit rewind).
Donnie Darko (I shed a tear, but I always keep a look out in the horizon for wormholes).
The Shining, the Exorcist, any movie about possession - doesn't really scare me, I just like watching them! 8)
GhostShip (yeah, blood and guts baby!)
Night of the Living Dead (he's coming for youuu, Barbara!).
Sleepy Hollow (an old tale, with a dreamy actor- Johnny Depp).
Blair Witch 2 (what happened to the shadow, what's on the door?)
Dark horror about real life, well I watch those too. After all, they really happened. I have to know what demented personalities to watch out for. I just recently saw Dahmer (demented). It sort of reminded me of the movie American Killers (not sure if that's the right name, so correct me if I'm wrong - Woody Harrelson, Robert Downey jr, Juliette Lewis).
Whether old or new, twisted or mentally exhausting, bloody or more about the illusion, I have to say I can't recall a horror movie I haven't liked.
Oh yeah, I forgot I saw Freddy vs. Jason :lame:

Considering Bad Taste is more of a comedy than a horror, I don't think this is really the right place to have this thread, just my opinion of course, hey, I can't help it if I'm always right. :D

I love people who claim to be horror movie buffs and complain about acting and dialoge. I can honestly say that there are less then five horror movies with great acting and few with truly great dialogue. To be a horror fan your willing suspension of disbelief must go far past a vast majority of the population. Peter Jackson did this movie with two cameras on the weekends with his buddies because it was fun. He was not trying to win awards or impress critics he was trying to entertain. This movie is fun, I can't say much else I own and watch it all the time. There is something about one of the great directors of our time running around like a tard with his tongue out that blows my mind.

Bad Taste is one of the all time classics. Drinking huck, blowing up sheep and killing lots of aliens. It's great fun and gross gore and I dare you to find an uncut copy at blockbuster. Blockbuster Cuts up indie gore so badly that the plots no longer makes sense. Dead Alive is one example Bad Taste another...

I really don't know who does the editing to the movies and cuts out all the good stuff. All I know is Blockbuster won't rent you a truly uncut version of Dead Alive, Cemetary man or Bad Taste.
Why the censorship?

Coolest DVD cover ever made? Quite Possibly.
