i'm psyched for Cabin Fever. i love when films use real threats in monster movies. in this film its a flesh-eating bacteria...it looks nasty. if you want to see real pictures of this illness, you can at www.stopthebacteria.com. But they're gross, so don't let your little brother see them (unless your little brother happens to be 45)

Yeah I like when horror movies have a realistic appeal to them, it makes it scarier when you think it could actually happen. Although, I get really scared even when the situation is impossible..

"Cabin Fever". Don't waste your time. Watch " Dreamcatcher" or" Wrong turn" instead if you are interested in this topic. Wrong turn was allright and "Dreamcatcher" , bad as it was, was at least better than the book.
Mothman and I turned it off pathetic "Cabin Fever" after the first half hour. Some of the worst acting ever, horrible script, Tired story idea.
!2 year old boys may be slightly amused, but PLEASE give us a break!!!

I finally saw this movie today. Not a frightening movie in the least, more like gorey. I agree the script was bad, too predictable, but I have to say I did like the ending. Some people get their due, and the ending made me laugh. Most of the actors have been around for awhile, so I don't feel the acting was bad, but the scenes and script they had to work with was. The characters were too stereotypical.
Since I find gore and find 'B' movies amusing, I enjoyed it enough to finish out the film, but will I buy it? No. Will I watch it again? Maybe years down the road if it shows up on cable during a night of insomnia.

You know, if I had watched the rest of the movie I probably would have drawn the same conclusions. Your observations sound like what I would say.
I REALLY will have to see this again or this posting will haunt me for a long time.
I'll keep yor ideas in mind when I re- view it.

Surprisingly, my mom who finds B movies not so amusing, watched the whole thing. Once you get passed the middle where you have an understanding of what the movie is about (not that you couldn't guess), the ending was unpredictable. I happened to call her while she was watching the movie (we rented it), and she told me to make it quick - she was at the end and wanted to see how it played out.
However, all of the stereotypical slasher movie scenes were there, which makes the movie cheesey, but it did make me laugh.
Now that I am talking about it, I want to see it again. I guess I'm a glutton for gore.

Yes, I'm sure your right, and I will see it again.
At the time I thought the other two movies were at least a little better, although I agree that Dreamcatcher was bad, and the book was even worse. I didn't mind Wrong Turn but it was forgettable. I had to be reminded that I even saw it, and what it was about. Also, I did only see a half hour of Cabin Fever.
I will NEVER again talk about a movie that I didn't finish. I've heard enough to rewatch it, and eventually I will.
I really regret even posting this!

I hated this movie. It was dumb. There wasn't any effects that really surprised me at all. When I watched Cabin Fever, I thought it would be better, but it was dumb. Anybody agree?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA This movie is fucking hillarious, I was laughing throughout the whole entire film.Saw it last night and I have to wonder whether they were making a crap film for the sake of making fun of regular cinema goers, or whether they genuinely were that dumb.
Sick guy begging for water or a hospital, so they slam the door in his face. He decides to take car to hospital so they decide to try and beat him to death with a crow bar. Excuse me but are we supposed to be routing for these guys or what.
After that incident town cop shows up and on seeing car literally full of blood, having a virtual stream make it's way from the car, he takes one look and says "Duude you had a parrrrty!" Damn if that's what the cops are like in America then it's worse than I thought.
Besides that "Joke" that was used at the begginning/end involving the rifle, damn if I didn't want to shoot someone for that one. :lol:

Cabin Fever was one big homage to the slasher flicks of the 70's and 80's.As for being predictable how unpredictable can a flesh eating virus be?If you payed close attention and were trying o figure out what was going on you might have got a surprise.I actually thought that the virus was being passed by the pot that Grim shared with them.Seeing how Rider Strongs character was the last to show signs of infection and if you wacth the campfire scene closely you see that he is the only one who doesnt smoke the pot(getting high a huge nono in any 70's 80's horror flick lol almost as bad as haveing sex lol)Of course that theroy was shot to hell at the very end when you realise that its the water because of the character who only drank beer was not infected.Him getting shot was great and a wonderful tribute to Night of The Living Dead.I dont think Cabin Fever was suppossed to be anything othe then what it was and it was entertaining .

I thought Cabin Fever starting out promising, but then it went downhill fast, and the ENDING... GEEZ, I haven't seen that many... oops, not quite the end END, since Return of the King (Note: i'm not bashing ROTK, but the multiple endings did drag a bit, but were understandable as it is the conclusion of a nine hour epic)
I can't BELIEVE all the postive buzz about the movie. It's not good, even by cheesy horror standards.
:angry2: I heard it realy did Suck realy bad good I never wanted to see it anyway.

Wrong Turn is a horrible movie and Dreamcatcher is a joke.
Cabin Fever was much better than either of those. It may not have been a GREAT movie, but it still ranked higher than those two pieces of garbage. Well, three pieces of garbage if you want to throw the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake in there.

I liked this movie enough to buy it. I am a huge horror fan, and I was pleasantly suprised by this movie. I felt as though they were intentionally poking fun at some of the things in the film, and I enjoyed that.
both film's were great I liked them alot.

This film is garbage. Yeah it has a bit of gore. But basically its a farty little outbreak in the woods some where. Then some dumb people decide to stay knowing that some tramp has a deadly virus and there mate. And then start catching it one by one. EEEERRRR NOOO I'D BE FOREST GUMPING IT AWAY FROM THE INFECTED SCUM!!!
The most irritating part is the police officer!! Whats that about??? What a load of rubbish!! 8)

Cabin Fever started out so promising, but then someone it starting going downhill with the characters making stupid decisions and the plummetted after that.
By the end... which btw seemed to NEVER end. (This movie has as many fake endings as ROTK, which ROTK can be forgiven for a bit, since it's the end of a nine hour trilogy). it had became as bad as many of the no budget horror features I've seen, like say Ascension: Evil on Queen Street or say Frost: Portrait of a Vampire, both really bad movies.
