the new star wars trailer is set to debut on tv during this thursday's episode of the O.C. i am not ashamed to admit that i watch the show, and im pretty sure so does everybody else. if u say u dont, then u do, so just admit it. its a good show. anyways...do u think it was a smart move by lucasfilm to debut it during the OC? why not LOST (which is easily tv's hottest show even over the OC) or something actually dramatic like the final episode of NYPD blue that was last week. either way..its gonna make for one helluva thursday night.

I think this is a really bizarre choice to premiere the trailer during. Something like Lost or Alias would have been better. My only thinking is that Lucas wants to try and appeal to younger girls or force boyfriends to watch the O.C. with their girlfriends and maybe persuade them to go see Star Wars with them!

I don't watch The OC... honestly, just ask my best friend Becca, she's constantly bitching at me to give it a chance, but I never will. EVER. Not even to watch a Star Wars trailer. Not even if someone had a gun to my head and told me to watch it or he'd shoot me. NEVER, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES!!! :evil:

My feelings exactly Zara. 8) And just to let you know I have never watched a single episode of the O.C. and I'm pretty damn proud. I'll probably end up watching one sometime in the future. My friend Michael watches the show, because he finds it hilarious.

Haha yeah I know what you speak of. Sometimes when I do watch those types of shows I feel guilty of acting like a spoiled brat which I know will come out once in a while but whatever, I suppose it's part of who I am.

The press release justified this move by saying, basically, that Seth Cohen is a nerd and would want this. They also listed some quotes that referenced Star Wars. That's totally not a reason. I like The OC, but I'm not part of their normal audience. And I sure as hell don't want those kids getting into our Star Wars universe. It would look like this:
"OmG Boba Fett did thet THANG... n i relly realy think tht whn dat obi-1 guy wuz fightin' wit dat sword thingie that they should of played some green day... Grn day is liek DA HOTTEST BAND EVA!!!! y didnt n e 1 give um a recrd cantract b4 dis? their AWESOME"
