5 Things I gleaned from watching Halloween. . .

1. "Quickies" live up to their name. . .

2. Sitting still in a chair for 12 years will give you superhuman strength and abilities. . .

3. Even without lessons - psycho killers drive perfectly and obey traffic laws. . .

4. William Shatner makes one ugly mask. . .

5. The Shape's favorite game is Peek-A-Boo!

Many thanks - chocosushi!

I've been doing the 5 things for (maybe) a couple of months now. . .the inspiration for it came from three places:
1. An email between TeenageProdigy and myself over the inclusion of the word "spoiler" on a movie review I commented - yet the movie had not yet opened in Australia. . .
2. Not wanting to post exhaustive film reviews. . .
3. Liberties with the quote from Enter the Dragon where Bruce said "I practice the art of fighting without fighting"

In essence, I give the plot without giving away the story. . .

Budd: You're telling me she cut through eighty-eight bodyguards before she got to O-Ren?
Bill: Nah, there weren't really eighty-eight of them. They just called themselves "The Crazy 88."
Budd: How come?
Bill: I don't know. I guess they thought it sounded cool.

You know what's sad? I actually counted in the first movie and knew about this before the second was even close to being released.

There's a reason why everyone makes fun of me and my life is called pathetic.

Halloween is probably the only horror film that really scared me. Maybe its just stuck with me from when I saw it at a young age. The first two movies realy spook me out.

Probably John Carpenters greates film, besides The Thing.

I've only seen the original. Is there any real need to watch the sequels other than just to see how bad they are?

Halloween 2 is OK, the sequels really didn't start going down hill until the whole Season of the Witch deal. That and everything after was craptacular.

Ouch! Halloween II is by far the coolest sequel to a horror film ever. Exactly where the first film leavse off and has the same cast and an awesome electronic version of the score. The film feels very Carpenter. Although he did not direct. He still had lots to do with it.

Here's a lesson folks, sequels only suck because the Directors change, not becuase it's imposible to make a sequel.

As far as H3 goes, it's excellent and i can't get enuff of it. The score rocks. Problem with most people is that they don't realize how much it actually has to do with the big MM. H3 explains more about Michael than all of the others!!

I've been obcessed with the Halloween series for years and I can say that Michael Myers is probably the scariest of all the serial killers.

The sequels are what they are... most aren't very good; Halloween 3 tried to create a new series and failed. Halloween 4 is one of my favorites, above the second one and Halloween 5 is just aweful.

Halloween 6 (the theatrical release) is one of the worst movies ever made because it makes no sense; however if you're able to get ahold of the directors cut, the movie rocks! They completely changed the ending and you can get it online if you search hard enough.

7 is wonderful because Jamie is back; it should've ended there but they decided to keep going and 8 was pretty bad too, but not tourture....

Hopefully there won't be a 9.... let Michael die...
