CGI doesn't neccessarily make horror movies scary.
The CG will be used to blend prosthetic shots together, much the same way Bilbo "freaked out" in Fellowship of the Ring. Also, we need some slight augmentation of certain landscapes, primarily in terms of color. However, CG will NOT be used in the way you all are thinking. We're relying on prosthetics, lighting, and using CG simply to smooth these disparate elements together.
We're trying to make a different kind of horror film here.
