Is anyone on here old enough to remember (and I'm talking probably close to 20 years ago) on Saturday afternoons the USA Network had a program called Captain USA where this guy in a half assed Captain America outfit would host B horror movies?

Yes - this dude reminded me a little of Stan Lee in a cheesy superhero costume.

I stopped watching him when I discovered Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Afterwards, USA network moved the b-movie show format to Friday and Saturday nights and called it USA Up All Night.
Gilbert Gottfried was one of the first hosts who did 'bumpers' around T&A and horror flicks which had the T&A and gore edited out. . .

I've only ever seen one episode of Mystery Science Theatre 3000. It's only shown once a year and it's usually close to midnight. Makes me laugh though. Wish we had more.

Many of the MST3K shows can now be bought in video stores or Amazon. . .

THANK YOU METAL!!!
I thought I was the only one who remembered that dude for awhile. Yes, the Up All Night thing had Gilbert hosting one night, and Ronda Shear the other. And yes, all the movies were gory T&A movies, edited to death. Toxic Avenger type stuff. Can you remember any of the other ones they used to show?

I remember seeing on USA Up All Night:
Vice Academy 1,2,3
Toxic Avenger 1,2,3
Class of Nuke'm High 1,2
Video Dead
Roller Boogie
Reform School Girls

I remember Captain USA, my older sister made me watch it her. She used to tease me, saying I had a crush on him. I would get so pissed off! Well, she got so into it that she wrote Captain USA a love letter in my name. A few weeks later I got an autographed picture. Oh, I was sooo mad (I was like 5 when she did this). The picture was lost a long time ago (too bad), I wish I could get a hold of another for her. Keep in mind that I was 5 at the time, but I remember the movies then being a lot better than the later Up All Nights,
