I got a lot to say and maybe none of you care to concern yourselves with any of this UNTIL ONE DAY you find yourself in a jam with the police, justice system or government. A lot of messages flooded the internet yesterday after several arrests were made violently and it just disgusts me.

The majority of demonstrators have a commendable cause but have been portrayed as a bunch of homeless, unemployed, drug addicts. My question for you is have you thought that your town or city officials helped make it look like that on purpose to ruin the momentum. I just want you to understand that anything free is bound to attract natural leeches but what about those who were paid or arranged some kind of side deals to deliberately destroy the reputation of something that threatens the current regime claiming to be elected by you, representing the people.

A video surfaced on YouTube that shows a Special Weapons and Tactics team raiding marchers in Miami. The guy says how glad he was that this happened in Florida and not Illinois BECAUSE a bill was passed there making it illegal to film Cops without their consent. My previous employer was in Fort Lauderdale and I want to say that ANY security personnel there has their work cut out for them because there are thousands of criminals in the area that make there for the weather, not to mention immigrants from Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, etc. I lived there for two years, just outside a development called Plantation, around the end of 2010 and I can recall atleast three patrolmen shot dead at different times by unknown suspects. A action I refuse to condone because no man should fear for his life but that includes civilian citizens, and perhaps some of the ones who exercise their powers incorrectly get a little more than they was prepared for at that moment. The spokesman for Dade County claims the received a tip saying the activists had guns and I imagine it would be a good opportunity for Muslims, which I got no problem with in a normal atmosphere, to gather support from all these individuals upset at their democracy, but WAKE UP everyone because your rights are being stolen from you every second. My conversation with a customer service agent can be recorded as part of quality CONTROL but vice versa is forbidden in court without their permission. I mean a squad car, traffic light cameras or any other surveillance can tape you but SUPPOSEDLY you need to ask them first to do the same to protect yourself ? A customs area in an airport will detain you if you get caught using a mobile telephone in line but for what reason when it takes an hour before I even get to the window? A part of our constitution guarantees our Freedom but have you ever QUIETLY watched someone being questioned by authorities when they threaten to imprison you if you fail to leave the scene or have you ever been to another country that allows actual cursing on the radio like in Europe because I can testify to both from previous experiences.

THE REASON GUNS ARE ALLOWED TO BE PURCHASED IN AMERICA IS BORDER CONTROL NOT BECAUSE THEY CARE WHAT OUR FOREFATHERS SAW AS BEING LEGITIMATE FOR IT'S SOCIETY.

My proof is common sense because I want you to imagine being another country who wants to attack the United States but now think EVERY ONE IN FOUR that live here has a firearm and most will defend this nation despite the problems.

Please consider donating something minimal to the Occupiers if you got any kind of compassion because THIS APPLIES TO ALL GENERATIONS and even MOVIES considering some of the celebrities, who made statements or appearances that could be part of a doc*mentary. Thanks to anyone who can circulate this message to reach more users.

Your post is a little unclear on exactly what protests you're referring to, but I agree with the general sentiment. I'm from Canada, so our laws on guns are very different, but the neoliberal policies of our Conservative government have us slowly going the way of your country, and it scares the sh*t out of me.

Any time the government passes laws restricting citizens' rights to protest and speak out against that which they find unjust is a sure sign of the gradual erosion of civil rights. When you can't legally film police, you can't film police abuses of power (which are common, especially in Chicago where this this law was recently passed).

Corporate investment in the government means government policies are set up to keep the priviliged in power. So laws such as these are attempts to prevent working class dissent from becoming so prevalent that the US experiences their own version of the Revolution Francaise. All you need to do is look at the smear campaign that has been put towards making regular folks in the Occupy Movement look like crazed, jobless radicals.

@shuabert A well received reply Josh and thank YOU, atleast someone, for reading my thoughts which, obviously, I took a little TIME to compose in effort to motivate others but very rarely does anyone seem to care about it here. I wish you luck on your Thesis but it appears from your response that you got the idea and ability to ace it.

My clarity is always off a little bit because I just write, unlike others who compose drafts or outlines just to sound intelligent - not saying you, although I do edit as I go as I think of more to type, and I was trying to touch on a few topics to demonstrate everyday problems that brainless individuals are hypnotized by, like what I was trying to illustrate above by comparing the radio in Europe but forgot to explain my point. The fact I wanted to express was that overseas so called VULGAR WORDS are played over the air without hesitation, I speak from absolute travel experience, and this is the exact opposite here in the United States despite claiming to have the most Freedom of Speech in the world.

A few simple syllables, vowels, consonants and people act like the world is coming to an end but to me say whatever because actions are what bothers me not vocabulary! ! ! I mean to say how silly individuals are because they allow society to influence them into believing what is wrong rather than justify it for yourself, not that this PARTICULAR example is of extreme importance but for now on the term Skribyu is a insult since we made it that way - get it ???

My fondness for Canadians is no secret. The beach was filled with you each year for Spring Break when I lived in Fort Lauderdale and I always laughed because you all were the only ones in the water since this time is winter to us Floridians. A real shame your country, the largest on earth, is too cold for me because it looks like they remain a model to the rest of the planet considering you all very rarely have bad press, crucial enemies, etc.

I want to mention something else for anyone reading this later about the Occupy camp. The protesters were on private property WITH THE OWNER'S consent so how was it that they got evicted in the past? My recollection was that they declared it a health hazard but how does that become a constant rule when they could order people away for a week to clean and then allow them back on the property ??? A safety risk? I just want to say the people overnight there are adults so if they can decide for theirselves but what about the community? You ever seen some of the dirtier sides of New York ?

The police arrested a few protesters this week that dumped feces and urine inside the stairhall of a bank. My question is how did they catch them because the media reports that cops used surveillance tape to track the owner of the vehicle they used to drive there but are these demonstrators really this stupid to get caught like that or is it possible that they use more detectives to hunt perpetrators committing crimes FOR humanity than they do to invest time eliminating corruption, social injustice, etc? A bit of both is probably the answer since SOME of the activists are unemployed and lack intelligence while trying to find a home with anywhere they can while failing to realize the importance of their own education.

I think people confuse activists as anarchists but this is completely wrong for those like me. The idea of anarchy is to mean a state of lawlessness and you can consider that as society rule but this fails to work as history has taught us, via the wild wild west or during the colonial period, because it allows the masses to crucify anyone for popular belief like the old WITCH HUNTS, which then, ironically, creates law enforcement agencies with hopes of eliminating such types of injustice. A protester, atleast like me, knows government is basically necessary but the problem is the corruption, inequality, control, etc.

That's further complicated by the confusion between "anarchy" in the popular sense, and the way you're using it here as total lawlessness, and "anarchism" and "anarchists" as a semi-organised political movement. I think a lot of the protesters lean towards the latter, but are perceived as advocating the former.

A Day against Capitalism with protests and demonstrations is scheduled today in several cities across Europe. I actually feel a little worse for them considering the continent, including Asia, has so many countries failing at civil rights and these citizens have been MISeducated since birth with such things like having to speak their nation's language, which does nothing but eliminate the possibility to communicate with those in similar situations in other demographics that could provide them assistance - especially true for those, basically the ninety nine percent, unable to afford the UNREASONABLE cost of school, college, tutoring, training, lessons, etc.

My heart shatters when I think of all these Middle Eastern, South American or African destinations that are so rich with heavenly landscapes, waters and nature but suffer from corruption, crime, poverty, etc. The few that bother me most are India - considering how large this land is but still the majority is third world with overpopulation problems with extreme linguistic barriers throughout different areas, China for much of the same crowded growth rate conditions and censorship, Mexico because of the lack of trustworthy authority officials, Israel, Turkey, Egypt, etc.

A lot of the world has made these forms of socializing from English to Spanish, Chinese, Yiddish or whatever in hopes to separate themselves from the rest of us, most likely as a method of protection originally but democracy needs more unification worldwide via the people, not just another organization claiming to act in the interest of society - if you can guess who this statement refers to in general terms.

I can explain it better with a comparison or maybe just a word - encryption. The information on your computer is at risk of being stole, copied or erased every second on the internet so naturally you create a code for it that only you can understand and this is the same idea. My point is border control was probably easier in earlier times because if someone arrived and was unable to speak to you than that made them a foreigner who was possibly there to plunder your city, you silly Vikings.

The notion is old and globalization is at present, necessary so contribute or stay out of the way.

A video, about fifteen minutes, surfaced on YouTube earlier this week with authentic footage taken from a cop's car camera when he stopped a common movie producer for an alledged traffic violation in ILLINOIS after attending a film convention. The clip explains or shows debateable tactics police use to supposedly justify searching your vehicle without a warrant.

I found it on the internet by typing Officer Reichert - Collinsville + Rights.

My point is that this is a very basic example of a bigger problem that occurs all the time and despite this particular occurrence seeming a bit ordinary, ATLEAST TO ME, because I can definitely imagine the driver - film maker sitting around playing some video games with some friends in a basement somewhere munching on a burger after smoking marijuana but this is just me trying to JUDGE this case impartially from both sides.

A lot of the tape is professionally edited with the usual overly confident, sarcastic exaggeration tone to it but in contrast for his defense, Huff shows you a picture of the inside of his car taken from what he says, was immediately after the incident to contest the accusation made that his automobile had SHAKE in it, and the photograph showed some disgusting stains on the rug that I think could of been airbrushed, photoshopped, cleaned or otherwise replicated if this guy was really interested in falsifying the story.

The fact is the entire ordeal resulted in nothing but a warning and yet someone still felt the situation was a product of corruption, enough to obtain the actual recording, make it public, narrate it, etc.

I, on the other hand, agree with using it to fight the war on civil infractions by the government but still say this appears to be more of a person probably hoping to sue the city and is or was looking to find more people to share any similar experiences for their own reasons because I believe the patrolman acted reasonably, mostly professional, patient, etc.

My main objection or the biggest value I get from this instance is about the dog being taken out of sight in the front and the facts about property seizures included in the article written about it available on the web.

A frequently popular excuse they use to circ*mvent the system is probable cause because this can be just about anything but there are many others that are set in place to allow them to basically detain you whenever they feel it necessary to them, like mistaken identity, questioning, public intoxication, under the influence, open container, disturbing the peace, trespassing, loitering, inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, slander, defamation of character, etc. The ones I listed are typical charges they can pin against you at their discretion and of course there are millions of events where these do actually apply but I just wanted to mention them because of their ability to be easily abused by law enforcement.

I wanted to add those associated with driving like seat belts, tinted windows, improper lane change, failing to signal a turn, using a mobile telephone or I think smoking a cigarette that all play a role in allowing them to find something to use if they want to further harrass you, but these are becoming more extinct with the help of technology and courts requiring doc*mentation, proof, etc.

I agree but I think this occurs when you got false pretensed protesters, similar to ones I worked with abroad recently or to some that are destroying the reputation of the Occupy movement. The people I refer to are ones that are typically younger and act as if they got a passion for a certain cause but are the same people doing drugs later that night, this is what I experienced in a country I volunteered abroad last year for an entire month. My belief is substance abuse should be legalized in general but this is, to me, a recreational activity and should be isolated from times when you need to be focused on a real agenda, such as the issues that were being debated with this group that I was involved with for the duration.

A real shame no PROFESSIONAL demonstrators find theirselves capable of forming a legitimate congregation and this again leads back to your comment because those of us who wish to actually make a difference peacefully experience the force of abusive power from police or government, which in essence, is why the radicals who prepare to challenge the system physically are necessary sometimes.

I believe the world would be very different if there were more HONEST CARING HUMBLE lawyers willing to participate in cases as part of a Pro Bono because legislation is the key to fighting social injustice without violence.

A video, MOSTLY showing the ground but with clear audio - probably due to the fact it needed to be recorded without the CHICAGO police being aware of it, has been posted on the internet to allow everyone to listen to the way cops are able to threaten, VERBALLY ABUSE, harass, detain or continually look for a reason to arrest you.

The victims were being stopped for some kind of traffic violation, I think an illegal turn or something, and were accused of trespassing on private property at one point SIMPLY because they entered a driveway to reverse their vehicle in the other direction.

I want everyone to know that to be charged with such a crime the actual owners must consent to filing a complaint but the remainder of the controversy appears to stem from statements made and possibly taken out of context since their was a friendly, sarcastic conversation in progress throughout the situation.

Sorry but I want to be fair because if you lie to achieve results than you deserve the consequences of oppression although I do think it was wrong for them to constantly look for cause to take them to jail like asking it face coverings provides justification when it seems obvious no one was wearing any such garments at that time.
