  • There's no way Carrey could pull off a character as intense or sadistic as The Joker, ever. Not in a million years. And Depp, aside from being pretty much the polar opposite of The Joker physically, lacks the aggressive presence of the Clown Prince of Crime. Personally, I think there's very little chance Nolan will make the same mistake as Schumacher in casting big name actors in totally innappropriate roles (Clooney as Batman, what?). Jack's Joker was great and all, but he was basically an amplified, modernized version of the goofball from the campy '60s series. Nolan's Gotham has both it's feet in realism, wheareas Burton's was suspended in a sort of morbid goth-carnival limbo. A clown in a funhouse has no bite, he's predictable and comfortable. Nolan's newer, grittier interpretation will give a more efefctive backdrop to his monstrous nature. And he's definitely a monster. If you don't believe me, read the comics.

The new favorite being passed around is Paul Bettany (A beautiful Mind), which I like. He comes across as extremely intelligent, and I think he could make a killer badguy. The biggest contender for Two-Face, on the other hand, looks to be Liev Schreiber (Manchurian Candidate).

  • he does have the body to play jocker. I found it interesting in the end when gordon is talking about the joker he has the same MO as the man who killed batmans parents....robbery and double homicide so it will feel close to home for batman definetly. Its interesting how they will pull it off because in the comics joker does have that campy hair and costume

this is my fav sketch i have seen so far

  • ^that's a rumor right now but I hope it's not true oh and they said that Isla Fisher from Scooby-Doo(played Mary Jane) and from the Wedding Crashers is suppose to be on the next Batman movie but Chris Nolan doesn't know what part she should play either Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn or one of Bruce's girlfriends.
