  • I voted The Sixth Sense (followed by Se7en). However, I don't consider The Matrix, among other films, to be suspense.

  • I voted for Se7en. I think it is quality.

  • Where is North by Northwest? It's easily the best thriller of alltime.

  • I voted for the Sixth Sense. Granted I didn't several of those movies listed because they are rated R, but the Sixth Sense sure had me hanging on the edge of my seat till the end and I was very surprised with the outcome.

  • Copycat (Sigourney Weaver, Holly Hunter, et al) was better than any of those listed.

  • Has anyone seen the "somewhat recent and very decent" film with Robin Wright Penn called "Sorry, Haters"?
    THAT was good!

  • Ahhh Come on ...Jaws hands down. The anticipation of someone getting eaten without the shark hitting the surface.

  • eh.... even though Taxi Driver is one of my fav movies, I would have to say "The Life of David Gale" was probably my favorite suspense/thriller, since we have Taxi Driver as a drama at my store.

Haters  I dunno, Im not much of a "thriller/suspense" guy, if you could call "The Departed" a suspense (the last 15 minutes left me pretty much on the edge of my seat) then Id gladly change, but I thought Kevin Spacey did a good job in that movie, and the ending wasnt your typical "Happy, innocent man walks away unscathed" type movie.

  • Psycho. It has a thrilling effect on me, especially the shower scene. Even the musical score got me frightened. Psycho really paved the way for slasher films in Hollywood. Alfred Hitchc*ck is truly a remarkable master of this genre.

  • I like "The Sixth Sense movie" Because is not about logic, but rather the experience as a viewer, watching what the director gives us, as we only see what he wants us to see. The Sixth Sense also boasts a strong soundtrack and looks good, setting a mood that gets the audience in the right frame of mind to be spooked, though it's not a horror movie. Suspenseful, smart, and well directed, The Sixth Sense is an achievement not to be underestimated.
