  • @ejk1 Ok, DC 52 arrives today, but I finished read the first 2 issues of Infinity Gauntlet. Good lord it was amazing. Those gems are some scary stuff on print. I also got a Darkseid vibe from Thanos with his whole God complex but the real interest took me with his desire for Lady Death. You know, for such a powerful being, he truly his blind. The whole snapping his finger, genius.

  • @comicbookfan Where can I begin with Miles Morales?

  • @bawnian-dexeus Okay with Miles Morales, his character was introduced in the relaunch to the MARVEL UU (what I like to abbreviate as the MARVEL Ultimate Universe) and in the aftermath of the death of 'Ultimate' Peter Parker. he has since taken over as Ultimate Spider-Man starting with the relaunch and getting his own ongoing series.

So if you want to read where Parker dies, then collect the last story arc/finale to Ultimate Spider-Man (USM: "Ultimatum" - issues #129-133), and if you want, as a follow-up of the supporting cast in a 'world without Spider-Man' feel, you can read "Ultimatum: Spider-Man Requiem" right after that.

Moving on, the first appearance of Miles Morales and the effects of the aftermath by the death of Ultimate Spidey are told in "Ultimate Comics: Fallout". You can read that to get the jump on when Miles enters the comics, or you can skip all and jump head-on into the new series starring Miles Morales as USM.

The new ongoing series is "Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man" (Volume 3), which serves as a continuation/sequel follow-up of USM. Keep in mind there was a Volume 2 of Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man which debuted in 2009 and continued the Ultimate Spider-Man story. You will want the Volume 3 series which started in September 2011.

    Okay, so to recap:

    - Ultimate Spider-Man: "Ultimatum" (issues #129-133); death of PP
    - Ultimatum: Spider-Man: Requiem; supporting cast mourns
    - Ultimate Comics: "Fallout"; relaunch of MARVEL UU and MM 1st app.

    - Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man (Volume 3); new USM series starring MM

    Hope that helps!

  • @comicbookfan It helps alot. Just a few days ago I got into the whole comic book world. Got the whole first issue set of new 52 (which are great btw, but I'm only going to continue 40 of them), I finished Infinity Gauntlet (amazing!) and am going to start with Scarlet Spider

  • @bawnian-dexeus The Infinity Gauntlet? The story by George Perez, right? Wow, what are your thoughts on that? There's been a lot of speculation that The Avengers 2 will be based on that story arc. Also, how is Scarlet Spider? I haven't read it but I remember the Clone Saga/Maximum Clonage really well, loved Ben Reilly as Spider-Man when MJ was pregnant, and I know Kaine was recently brought back some time ago as the first failed clone. As for The New 52, I won't go near those. I'm just now finishing up the last arc to the Supergirl Vol. 5 series, and about to start Green Lantern Vol. 3. I hear all but GL was ruined when the reboot happened.

  • @comicbookfan Well, don't know much about the whole clones, but I read that it involves Kaine, as you said. But I'm just going by the summary description. Have yet to start. As for Infinity Gauntlet, it was just spectacular. What got me going was how Thanos changed everything with the snap of a finger, and how he basically took down the Guardians. Such impossible power.

  • @bawnian-dexeus Okay, sure. When reading SS, just let me know if you have any questions regarding Kaine's history or any of the clones backstory. I'm like the resident Amazing Spider-Man expert, I have read nearly every issue up to the 'One More Day' event. As for Infinity Gauntlet, I think I'm going to have to give that a read soon. Sounds excellent. And Perez did amazing work on the post-Crisis Wonder Woman stuff.

  • @comicbookfan Its also really great how the art (1991) still holds up. Came out gull 6 months after I was born. As for Avengers 2, I think the questo for him to take the gauntlet might be the plot while trying to court death (as I have already read through, what a bitch)

  • @comicbookfan As for new 52, it's all new stuff to me so I'm excited to start with DC with these, although I'm going to follow around 38-40 story arcs than the whole.

  • @comicbookfan I have a lot of ideas for once my movie career kicks in, and frankly, I really want to do hero films, and the T.Titans are my first choice if WB and DC leave em alone for the next 9 years

  • @bawnian-dexeus Not yet, but I heard it's good. Currently watching Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Ultimate Spider-Man. Also watching a few here and there of Fantastic 4: World's Greatest Heroes.

  • @comicbookfan AH! Mightiest Heroes is awesome. Ultimate Spiderman is ok, a little too much talking, but his smaller egos popping out of the blue and red (lol) keep me entertained.

  • @bawnian-dexeus Yeah and I been watching it with my cousins who are more easily entertained, but the comedy keeps me coming back to it, and the mythology with SHIELD, but the new hero team and the villains are childish and retarded to me, something they pulled with the last few Spidey cartoons which pissed me off. Besides that, the animation is dead on and it's backed by some of the finest creators in the industry, so I keep watching...for now. Surprisingly I also despise the USM comics. And EMH is pretty badass.

  • @comicbookfan Wish they could bring back Spectacular Spiderman. No sense in not putting in their Marvel lineup. I'm sure the rating can help it this time

  • @bawnian-dexeus "No sense in not putting in their Marvel lineup"?? Who? And nah, the animation in that series was crap IMO.
