  • As dumb as it sounds to take every film ever made and throw them all together into one ceremony, I curious to know what you guys think are some of the BEST films ever! Quite simply, I want everyone to vote for each of the following categories that I'm going to mention and like @moviegeek's previous award forums, we'll tally up some of the most voted films and announce the winners!
    The Categories:
    Best Film of All Time:
    Favorite Comedy:
    Favorite Drama:
    Favorite Musical:
    Favorite Action/Adventure:
    Favorite Horror:
    Favorite Science Fiction:
    Favorite Actor:
    Favorite Female Actor:
    Favorite Director:
Now, I'm sure what'll happen if everyone votes on different films/actors. This is exactly why for each category I want you to include a top-ten for each one. Hopefully from there we'll see some repeats. All I want to know is what MW'S top-films of all time are!

Here is an answer to some because it's HARD to name all for each category:

    Favorite Musical:
    *Sweeny Todd

  • @corey I think it would be better (like you stated in your last sentence) if it's just our top ten favorite films. It would be easier and less of the hassel that I went through to fill each category. Might need to do another forum to address that.

Citizen Kane is the greatest film of all-time. You can look at my review to find that out. As for this, it will only work if objectivity is utilized. If not, it becomes nothing more than a popularity contest.

  • This is what user lists are for, lol. I think this topic is far too subjective and way too grandiose to really get to the bottom of any thing substantial.

It's like @ejk1 said, he thinks Citizen Kane is the best movie ever, and I don't disagree with him. However, who's to say for sure if it's better than this movie or better than that movie? It's really just trying to discover the answer to something, or collectively agree on a decision in regard to a subject to which there is no definite answer.

  • Alright let me put this in smaller scope, I just want to know the most famous movie on here. I pretty much just want to know what the majority of people say on what the best film of all time is!
