  • The Third Annual MovieWeb Awards have begun.

For those of you who are new, here is how this works:

Post your 5 favorite films of 2012.
    Please put them in order.

The results will be scored to find out which movie is the "MovieWeb Film of the Year".

The deadline to post your list is January 31st.

Post only one list. (I know you probably haven't seen every movie you want to you yet, but you can delete an earlier post and update your list later on. So feel free to post a "rough draft" now!).

Results will be scored on February 1 for the no-prize :)

  • @moviegeek :

    1. The Raid- an action movie shot with grit, dirt, painstakingly shot, musically right, the best action movie topunch us viewers in the face in the cinema.

    2. iLL MANNORs- rap, British culture, endowed views and misconceptions make this a fine eye opening, also being a rip roaring successful debut.

    3. Rise Of The Guardians- Pixar can move over now!

    4. Moonrise Kingdom- At least one of the Andersons made a good film this year!

    5. The Avengers
What is purposeful-but to watch films!

Never ignore coincidence. Unless, of course, you’re busy. In which case, always ignore coincidence.

  • Now I must state that as of the end of 2012, Promised Land, The Impossible, and, most importantly, Zero Dak Thirty have not be released yet on my side of town (Nashville). And since I didn't see them in 2012, I don't think it's fair to include them on this list and have no choice but to save them for 2013.

So with that said, here are my Top 5 Films of the Year:

    5. Lawless

    4. The Perks of Being a Wallflower

    3. Skyfall

    2. Headhunters

    1. Looper

    4.) Skyfall
    5.) 21 Jump Street

  • @SherlockHolmes2009 personally to me TDKR is not a superhero film but a crime/thriller just because it has a guy in costume doesn't necessarily mean that it's a superhero film
