  • @clockworkcookie. I know this probably won't happen, but we're sure as hell doing a lot more than the studios right now. Not starting a "fight", if that's what you call it. Its a debate if anything.

As for Depp not pulling off a ruthless leader, you should watch Public Enemies. If he took that role, and added in some nobility, cunning, and a sense of cliche atmosphere around him, he would do Ryan nicely.

If your not okay with Depp being Ryan, my backup would be Gary Oldman. also a very diverse actor.

  • I actually suggested Gary Oldman as well in my first post. It was my first idea regarding Ryan.
And again, I didn't like Depp's role in Public Enemies. It felt too contrived, like he was trying too hard to look "cool". I found myself rooting for Bale's character which was not the point of the movie.

  • Well then, we shall agree to disagree. I thought he pulled it off quite well, because Dillinger also acted like he was trying to be cool. There was nothing natural about being cool. He had to put onm a character, and Depp pulled it off.

But yes, Oldman is a rather cool choice as well. For Jack, I would actually like to see Mathew Fox in the role (Lost, Vantage Point).

  • @The Fallen - haha I guess Matthew Fox will always be "Jack" to us Lost fans lmao! :D

But actually I think Sam Worthington would play an awesome Jack.

  • It would be difficult to really bring much characterization to Jack because all we really know of him from the game is that he was genetically engineered to perform pre decided responses to certain code phrases and brought up on the surface to be an ace-in-the-hole for Fontaine. He doesn't have any dialogue and really just wanders Rapture doing what Atlas/Fontaine tells him. I think Fox is a decent choice and Worthington could probably pull of that type of character as well, confused and oddly complying in the strangest of situations.

  • Note that I didn't quite finish the game when I rented it so if I'm wrong then my bad. Don't tell me how it ends.
