Forums: What did you watch this week?

Hey y'all. This is a thread that was popular on the forums of another movie website I used to visit regularly, before I joined MovieWeb. I think it's cool just to see what people watch during a given week. In the theater, DVD, TV, anything. Tis simple. What did ya watch?

I'll start it off for what I watched last week

School of Rock
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Monty Python's Life of Brian
Time Bandits

Starsky and Hutch
Hidalgo

Umm I think that's about it. It was a slow week last week. What'd you guys see last week?

Let's see, this week I watched...

The Usual Suspects (for the very first time!)
Starsky and Hutch
Royal Tenenbaums

It's hard to get in good movie watching time when your in school full time.

Gallagher, how was Hidalgo? I am looking forward to seeing that one. Also, I am hoping to purchase School of Rock soon.

Wow. You never saw The Usual Suspects before? That's one of my all-time fav's! Didn't it just rock? One of the best endings of all time!

Hidalgo was a good. Very nicely done. 4 stars out of 5. I saw Monster, Starsky and Hidalgo on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so I haven't had time yet to write up reviews on them yet. But they'll be coming in a few days. Yeah, Viggo is great, he can definitely carry a movie. Later!

Usual Suspects is excellent!

Harry Potter: Philosopher's Stone
The Missing

All worth watching, Duplex was not the best, but cute to rent on DVD anyway.

Oh man let's see. The other day I watched Alien, Snatch and School of Rock.

Final Destination 2 which was f*cking hillarious. And Boogie Nights :(

I didn't know Starsky and Hutch was already out (at least in the USA).

I watched:

Black Hawk Down (director's commentary)

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (most of it, anyway)

A Volar, Joven! (Cantinflas movie, but I only watched the first half)

Nothing else (not a movie; I literally meant nothing else)

Yeah, I really liked.. no loved Usual Suspects. It was an awesome movie! Unfortunately, I predicted the ending, but it was still cool. Also, I've seen Scary Movie, so that gave some of the plot away....I think that cast did an amazing job. I wish Kevin Pollock was a more popular actor, he always does an excellent job.

That's cool that Viggo can hold his own movie. My brother and I were talking about how we hope the actor's who were in LOTR careers don't stop or struggle now that the trilogy is completed.

Other than that, I think the rest of the cast will be just fine, especially Viggo, Wood, Astin, McKellan and Lee.

I saw Billy Boyd on The Sharon Osbourne show, and he was funny and he sang Britney Spears, "One More TIme" on the guitar. It was cool....but he should of chose a different song, at least a more recent song. It's sad that he is not making good movie choices because he was my favorite hobbit. :( Well, I just love Mary and Pippin.

Wonderland, nice! That was pretty damn good, eh? I'll watch anything from Lions Gate Films because their movies are "out there" (See: Frailty, Rules of Attraction, Dogma). That and I'm a huge Kilmer fan. Ever see The Salton Sea? Whoa! Great movie!
