Now we are know of one the most popular comics that camed out in the 80's and which was an independent comic now is a Iconic comic book, the comic book had all the merchandise and the heavy fan base all over the world. They had 4 sepreate movies

Part 2 is 3 out of 5
Part 3 is 3/2 out of 5
part 4 is 4 0ut of 5

and all future movies will be released by Paramout pictures. Of course I'm talking bout The teenage mutant ninja turtles. Now Nickledeon is releasing a CGI tv series which will retell the origins like the 2003 tv show did, now I'm not saying I trust Nick with making the show seeing that Barnyard tv show, and jimmy nutron tv show was horrible when they made it too cartoony. But after seeing the recent image for the art of the new design for the Turtles, and I have too say it looks pretty bad ass.

Now tell me will Nick steer the path of a true ninja or down the path of embrassment and shame.

Back at Barnyard Horribly sucked and Jimmy Nutron sucked epicly so crossfingers that this show doesn't suck

@Monkey-iron Both of those were by-products of the films they were spun off from. The source material is much different, and deeper in history.

I have an old turtles comic somewhere and its super violent, Its B&W and the turtles get attacked in the snow by the Foot Clan and one Turtle gets a hand cut-off causing Splinter to vomit in the Snow. I'd love to see a Movie take that angle although I don't think Nicleodeon.

P.S. has anyone else seen the comic I'm talking about? I am struggling to find it and think I may have made it up

@mixlexic That sounds like one of the early, original issues that @comicbookfan was talking about. You should really try to find it, might be worth your time, literally.

@mixlexic Get it back from him, but be hush hush about it. Be like 'dude, do you know where that old TMNT comic went?' And he'll be like 'why?', and you say 'no reason, just wanted to read it again, for nostalgia's sake'. Then, if it is indeed one of those very early issues, and in good condition, eBay that sucker, man.

@mixlexic That is an original Eastman and Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Volume 1 series, "classic Turtles" or, lol, like the Turtles Forever movie called them, "Turtles Prime." They were the first. Now, I never read the whole series, so I'm not sure what issue that is in the series, but I don't think you made it up, that's for sure. As @dan1 said, keep that issue. It's a collector, may be worth money depending on the quality, but in my opinion, just a collector anyway if you are a fan because it's an original and has such history behind that series. @ejk1 - I don't think anyone outside of the geek fan base really knows that much about the Turtles origin, besides the fact that they are Turtles who know Ninjutsu. So I think an origin story is just what the doctor order, my take on the origin story is a hybrid of the comics and animated cartoon. I want to see the turtles all wear red bandana's like in the original comic, but then as their personalities grow change into their separate color bandana's to show that they are unique.
