  • several great titles have been mentioned here, such as Irreversible, Salo, Straw Dogs, and the original Wicker Man. i would recommend adding the following:

    calvaire
    happiness
    gummo
    tetsuo: the iron man
    bad boy bubby

requiem for a dream and pi were so pretentious that i could not actually enjoy them.

    Wrong Turn 2: Dead End
P2 - this little terror flick thriller here has a pretty disturbing scene. but can't give the details on it sense there might be some of you that hasn't seen it yet will leave you surprisingly shocked. but can tell you this some. it involves a young women in a parking garage with car troubles and a gentleman security guard that turn's out to be a twisted minded psychopath.

  • I watched Children of Men in the theaters when it came out and that one definitely creeped me out for days afterward. I guess it just seems so plausible that it makes it all the more disturbing. The fact that people could realistically turn against eachother like that to such an extreme extent just makes you think.

I received the film as a gift, watched it once, and will NEVER watch it again. As a horror fan, I'm accustomed to disturbing films - but this one was unbearable. No thanks.

Also, Funny Games. And the first half of Nite Tales with the cannibals.
