  • Ok, what are your personal thoughts on Zombies. You know, how are they used as metaphors, what do you think about running zombies (as opposed to the classic stumbling, shuffling, variety), do you think they;re still scary, and what would be a good setting for a zombie movie. Just anything, any thoughts you have on the subject.

  • It was better and made more sense when they walked, I mean come on, THEY ARE DEAD. THe only thing though in HOuse of the Dead that made sense was te newly dead people coulr run and those who had been dead for longer couldnt. But I think it is scarier when they walk.

Follow the Romero rule book...he wrote it!

zombies DO NOT run people... nor do they jump kick, fly, or say "braaaaains..."

  • I think a quick paced walk would be ideal. Not like a "fast-walk", but just enough so that someone could only outrun the living dead for so long. And then they catch up that someone.
Does anyone know of a living dead movie where they explain how the plague started? They explained it in 28 Days Later, but those weren't "zombies" those were just people with the "virus". That was a bad movie anyway.

  • Though I didn't hate 28 Days Later, I did think it was extremely overrated. I remember seeing the DVD at Best Buy with a quote saying "Scariest movie since...Exorcist" or something like that. I watched it and wasn't scary at all. I do have to admit though that the scene with the main character walking through an empty London was pretty awesome. I'd give the movie a 5 out of 10.

Now I hear they're making a sequel to it which doesn't interest me at all.

Yeah, it's called 28 Weeks Later, believe it or not. Very cheesy title, IMO. Only thing I kind of liked about 28 Days Later was how the zombies helped at the end by killing the bad guys, i love when they twist such creatures around and make them almost good.

  • I got to say that I love the idea of zombies running. I dont no about you but seing a slow zombie coming after the firt thing im gonna think of is imm gonna get that sucka but if the walking dead makes a run for imm gonna get the hell out.
I think that the remake of dawn of the best was awesome because of the running zombies. And I think that 28 days later was a graet film love everything of it but i dont want to see a sequel

  • I think they should only walk. They look so dumb when they run (new Dawn of the Dead kind of pulled it off). If they are smart zombies(theres no such thing) i can understand if they can run but zombies are dumb and therefore should not run and should even have trouble walking in my opinion.
