  • I honestly agree with several points brought up, however it sounds like- @huntsman and @XxNickTheFilmCriticXx - have never got along, correct? Well anyhow, I'm not going to argue either of you, not only because I consider both of you guys to be a good buddy (In the realm of Movieweb) but it also sounds almost like a personal vendetta between you two. So I will not state any further, however Nick, Huntsman did not crush my aspirations of being an independent horror filmmaker, he just stated that (basically) horror films are sub par to other cinema, which I'm fine with. Honestly I've been into a few other similar arguments; people say I should watch and focus on other genres too. I'm use to it. People don't know that I have a whole wall of horror films, but I have just about another, equally as big, whole wall of "non-horror" films as well. But I only speak of, and wear horror films shirts because that's my main interest. Never could figure out why, it just seems "right" when I watch a horror film, and/or create one.

And, thanks for the attempted back up, Nick.
And thanks for the attempt at expanding my film knowledge, Huntsman.

  • @crypt -- Not bash, but make a light jab at. But, if you felt differently, who am I to say otherwise. No problem, man.
Tyler Durden: You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world.

  • @crypt: Yeah he and I don't get along as you can tell and I'll leave it at that. Continue your love for horror films and your goal, but if you get a chance check out those films I listed and I'll it at that.

  • My directors would have to be-

    David Lynch
    Werner Herzog
    Stanley Kubrick
    Christopher Nolan
Sam Raimi (Darkman is just- oh, i love it)
Peter Jackson (even before the LOTR Trilogy he had me at "GUTS AND GORE")
    Woody Allen
    Edgar Wright
    Fritz Lang
George Lucas (Early Days and Revenge of The Sith)
Martin Scorcese (hope i smelt that right?)

  • @Zak-Lee-Ferguson -- You both text in an identical manner.

  • @crypt, @huntsman: I don't get along with Nick either. I refuse to talk to him.

To tell the truth though, I've never heard of Uwe Boll before until I saw him being listed on many MovieWeb users' lists for being one of the most hated and worst directors of all-time. I don't know what kind of films he's made nor have I seen any of them, but I could care less really. So I'd be really careful @crypt for having Uwe Boll's name on your list or else you might receive more serious bashing from other people.

@huntsman: That is really cool though for what you said about Akira Kurosawa (never heard of him before either).

  • But there are STILL some movies I need to see from my favorite directors unfortunately:

Peter Jackson - "Heavenly Creatures" and (maybe) "Dead Alive."
Steven Spielberg - "Schindler's List," "Artificial Intelligence," and his new film "Lincoln."
Zack Snyder - "Dawn Of The Dead."
Christopher Nolan - "Memento," "The Prestige," and "Insomnia."
    George Lucas - "American Graffiti."
Bryan Singer - "The Usual Suspects" and (sometime again) "Valkyrie."
Ridley Scott - "American Gangster," "Black Hawk Down," "Kingdom Of Heaven," and "Body Of Lies."
Michael Mann - "Heat" and "Last Of The Mohicans."
Robert Zemeckis - His new film "Flight."

  • @redcameraman Well I did not receive bashing for stating Boll's name as a joke, I received "bashing" for watching too many horror films and not knowing who that guy was. But it wasn't really bashing. But yeah. hahaha Boll's a tard.

  • @crypt -- What can I say, I've got a keen eye.

  • @XxNickTheFilmCriticXx I think the ":L" face gave it a big boost. I've never seen that type of face texted out before.

  • @crypt -- The lack of commas, incoherent postings, and pseudo-intellectuality is what really got me. But, your point is equally as valid, if not more so. Now, the guy's talking to himself to prove that it's 'not' him. Talk about reverse psychology.

    Lol.

  • @crypt -- Indeed. You should see how forced and awkward the conversations are.
