    Remember when we use to have the rule when you can rate the movie until it's release date? I want it back! But to open when there's been a premiere. Thoughts?

  • But if anyone catches an advance screening, then they can't rate/review it.

  • i agree with @moviegeek if anyone catches an advance screening then they should be able to rate it fairly. Plus some of those advance screeners' ratings have changed my mind abour seeing a movie in the past so i really appreciate any advance screening ratings.

  • I think there's a way for both sides to be happy, @skywise, @moviegeek, @kguy. The rating system should stay down until the premier date of the film. However, reviews will be accepted any time of the year so long as they are the appropriate length. This should definitely weed out the falsified ratings from the legitimate ones, which will make our rating system a lot more accurate. Also, the early reviews and not just the ratings are what warn us to go to or stay away from any films, so nothing will change there. Thoughts?

    @narrator or bullet options saying:

    I saw it in theaters

    I saw it at the premeire

    I saw an advance screening

  • @kguy You said the release date, I was agreeing with the narrator about not having until the PREMIRE, you know when its screen like a week or 2 before its release, where stars, director, and alot of lucky fans get to see it before it world release

    @SherlockHolmes2009 "But to open when there's been a premiere" very last sentence.

  • Haha, thanks @SherlockHolmes2009, but it was @kguy's idea. The only thing I put forth was making only reviews available once the film premieres (not midnight showing, but premiers), and once the films release is upon us, then ratings are able to be passed. That's all.
