@bawnian-dexeus Exactly. There really isn't any real excuse for these movies to bomb any more. We're beyond trial and error although new techniques are continually being introduced.

@mieko-siede Well said. But like you said, it was a different time. I think of those days as Hollywood experimenting with characters like Supes and the like. Today, after 2005, experiments are over and the new formula can pave the way for better explained adaptations.

@WalterWhite I don't know quite what I truly feel for Iron Man3. I'm not sure that it won't be the letdown that its second outing was. And yet there is a bit of intrigue building for it. Now as for Thor, I have to see something in its development. I was thoroughly disappointed with the first one. Kenneth Brannagh, if I spelled that correctly, should never have directed it. There were too many meshed elements in the production. Portions of it, especially concerning scenes in Asgard felt he was drawing from his roots of stage theatrics. The characters didn't feel authentic. They very much felt out of place. Costumes looked like costumes. Make-up looked like make-up. Special effects were obvious. And at times it felt very childish. With the change in production I only wonder if it will show improvement.

Man of Steel, it just feels from what we've seen thus far we will have that feeling in the end that finally, they got it right. That's not to say the Richard Donner classic is any less worthy of our attention, but that was a different time. They only sought out to prove that they could make a man fly on screen. And we believed it. But I grew tired of earth's god-like champion matching wits with the "superior" mind of a mere mortal who only proved to be the equivalent of a flea to him at every outing. The one time we saw him match up against Zod, they'd never expanded on the vastness of their capabilities matched to the personalities of the villains. It was more like Superman fighting three alternate versions of himself. We can just forget about Superman III and IV. Superman Returns had potential and yet the only true battle he had was with his emotions and the laws of physics. This Reboot of the franchise appears to bring the promise of what Superman films can be for the future of its series and the future of any DC/Warner projects to come. Much like the Donner film it may have the heart and degree of thought required to carry out a film that we will not only cheer for by the time he first takes flight to the roll of the credits, but it will encapsulate the journey of a man cast down from the stars in search of his destiny that we will care for from the beginning.

@Kill-Bill I'm very much looking forward to watching Iron Man 3.Kicks off phase 2.For me, I personally think Man of Steel will take the cake.Is Thor coming out this year too? If so,I'm looking more forward to that one than Iron Man 3.

It doesn't matter, what little I see for this movie I'm hyped about it. I just can't wait for opening night. I'm beyond the point of needing to see new trailers and reading spoilers, I was sold long ago. It's exciting to get a new take on a franchise that deserved an overhaul long ago.
