Just a few weeks after Jamie Dornan replaced Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey on the highly-anticipated adaptation Fifty Shades of Grey, we have our first look at the actor in character, alongside Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele. Universal Pictures has also announced that it is pushing the release from August 1, 2014 to February 13, 2015, where it will go up against The Longest Ride and The Spongebob Squarepants Movie 2. Take a look at the photos, then read on for more details about this adaptation.

Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley revealed that the release date shift was made to give the adaptation a better position in the global market, and not because of the casting change.

"We see this movie as a global event. The strength of this book is really worldwide, so we want to be able to take advantage of women who are invariably on vacation with their families during the month of August in Europe. Together with the international marketing and distribution team, we've been looking really closely at the August date and becoming more and more convinced that the right thing to do for the movie was to push it. So even if Charlie had stayed, we still would have been making the date change."

Actress Dakota Johnson revealed that landing the coveted Anastasia Steele role has lead her to develop a serious workout regimen for the first time in her life.

"Obviously, I want to look good naked. I totally understand now why people exercise, because it kind of f-ing feels awesome."

Jamie Dornan also spoke about how he wasn't shocked about the sexual nature of E.L. James' novel, because of his liberal background.

"I'm a fairly worldly guy. I grew up in a very liberal place. I'm not saying we had a playroom, but I'm not shocked by [the sex in the book]. It's essential to tell the story. I can't believe films that don't invoke the sexual side of it. So it works for me."
