Star Wars: Episode VII is the sequel of the century. Despite three unpopular prequels, fans have regained their love and enthusiasm for George Lucas' sci-fi fantasy franchise. All of that goodwill was recently resurrected by Walt Disney Pictures, who are now promising a new film every two years, indefinitely, starting in 2015.

Fans aren't the only ones excited about the prospect of more Star Wars movies. A lot of actors are throwing their hat into the ring, wishing for a role in this highly coveted space adventure. Robert Pattinson recently came forward, saying he'd play Jar Jar Binks if it meant being a part of this sprawling universe. Now, Lost Boys actor Corey Feldman, who got his start working for Steven Spielberg in such classics as Gremlins and The Goonies, wants a piece of the action.

"More than anything, I want a part in that new Star Wars franchise."

When asked if there was a particular role he'd like to take on, he said he is lobbying for a role as Han Solo's son, due to his resemblance to actor Harrison Ford.

"I think that is a great idea. No one knows what they have in mind yet, or what they have in store for us...But what I would like to see in the development of those next three movies is that they bring back all of the original characters, as they are still alive. And you can make them the older generation. Then, whether its their kids, or a bunch of new young soldiers, or Jedis, or warriors...Whatever it is, I would certainly like to be a part of that new young brigade that they are going to bring forward.

I think Harrison Ford's son is a really great idea, actually. Fans have always said that I would make a great Indiana Jones, a great Young Indiana Jones. We look very similar, we have the same type of bravado. The same character persona with the whole Edgar Frog thing. It is a good fit."

Is Corey Feldman out of his mind? He doesn't think so.

"I do believe that belief is the most powerful thing we have in this world. So, if we believe in something enough. And we have faith, we can make it a reality. That is basically the basis of my entire career and my entire life. I am going to really send a lot of positive energy to...Here, these are the three topics at hand...Let's get Corey in the new Star Wars movie, lets get Corey back as Donatello in Ninja Turtles with Michael Bay, and lets get Corey back to reprise his role as Tommy Jarvis, to make the fan anticipated sequel, above all, Friday the 13th Part XIII: Jason Vs. Jarvis in 3D. That is what I'm pitching."

It's clear that everyone would like a piece of the action. Though, Corey claims he knows one person not excited to return in Star Wars: Episode VII.

"I'll tell you who doesn't want to be a part of that cast. I can pretty much guarantee that Anthony Daniels doesn't want a part in it. "I'm 90 years old now, I don't want to walk around in a robot suit anymore. I'm done with that!"

Do you want Corey Feldman in Star Wars: Episode VII? Who do you envision taking on this expanding universe? Let us know if this sounds like a great idea, or a not so great idea. George Lucas is listening.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes to theaters December 18th, 2015 and stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

I'm not saying Corey Feldman is a terrible actor, because he's not. He's better than Keanu Reeves if that's saying something. Although if he gets an audition, he's gotta dial it WAY BACK. I thought Hayden Christensen was pretty bad, and where the hell is that guy now? To be completely honest, I don't think he's got any chance in getting a part in this project; unless they need a voiceover or non-cgi creatures. They're most likely going to get a newbie for this part.

i love Los tBoys but that does not mena i like Corey- he A: can not act B: just cause he has a Solo esque looking head- do not undermine the power of star wars!

I do like Cory but he's only good in B films like Friday the 13th and he's not that great in certain films.
I do agree with most of you he's not the right type of actor for this franchise.

@jimthar They aren't thinking of another Friday movie, Feldman is trying to pitch the idea.

I don't think Feldman is all that great of an actor; although while I still love Star Wars, the films haven't gotten the best of actors...

@ejk1 Agreed. I was thinking the same thing. Corey is in no way Jacen.

Corey just spitballed his best roles for me. Donatello and Tommy Jarvis. I think I may die happy...

I hope he does not get the role to play Hans Solo's son in Star Wars Episode 7. He just does not seem like the right actor for that role.

No offense to Cory, good actor and all but he looks nothing like Harrison Ford to me. I think they will go with actors that will put butts in the seats and make them money. Cory is more of Direct to video kind of actor anymore.

Jacen Solo SHOULD be in the sequels. Corey Feldman SHOULD NOT play him.

eh, why the hell not? i dont have a problem with it. im not a huge SW fan anyway and i thought the last 3 SUCKED hardcore so if they want him to do it then so be it. doesnt bother me. i didnt know they were thinking of another Friday movie though. that sounds interesting.

It would be awesome if they went for the Jacen solo/Darth Cadeus storyline, It's my favorite from the expanded univers, Although from the news we've been getting they say they're going with a fresh storyline. I like Feldmans spirit in getting a role, but I don't think of him as being Jacen solo. It would be cool if he got a role of some sort though.

HERE'S TO BITING DOWN ON WISHFUL THINKING! However, though Corey Feldman was a great child actor, I believe its best to pursue a fresh and slightly younger face. I just can't see Feldman asking Harrison Ford to borrow the keys to the Millenium Falcon to helping clean Santa Clara of vampires anytime soon...

this guy is from the lost boys, he played one of the frog brothers, it would be neat Han's son appear in the new star wars

He looks more like Harrison Ford than Shai LaBouef or River Phoenix. He was originally up for Ford's son in Mesquito Coast.

I saw this guy on Skating with the Stars or something and he was TWEAKED out. Drugs seemed to have taken their toll. I appreciate his work as a child actor, but the dude has not evolved and shown he can step up and be a solid adult actor...he shouldn't be a part of such an epic franchise :/
