The first collaboration of Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorcese is now getting a high-definition release. Gangs Of New York will be released in the Blu-Ray format on July 1. Sadly, we have no cover art, pricing or special features details at this time. We will update this story as soon as we have more information. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day Lewis and Cameron Diaz.

Based on a non-fiction book first printed in 1928, this sweeping tale follows the rise of Irish and Italian gangsters in New York, beginning in the Tammany Hall era and moving towards the 20th century. Leonardo DiCaprio plays the son of a murdered gangleader who swears vengeance upon the man who killed his father.

This movie was awesome! Daniel Day-Lweis kicked major ass in this film! and hell they had Liam Neeson to boot. the sound track was also very sick!
