THE GOOD
Fans of Dane Cook will get some good laughs out of this movie.
THE BAD
The set-up was good, but there just weren't enough clever jokes to make it great.
THE FEATURE
Employee of the Month marks the debut of Dane Cook in the lead role of a film. And honestly, it's not a bad start. My expectations were pretty low for this film. I'm a huge fan of Cook's stand-up and some of his supporting cast members are pretty funny comedians as well, but I just figured that the material wouldn't be up to the level it should.
Well, I have to say I was surprised to hear myself laughing out loud several times. No, Employee of the Month is not a great comedy, but it's at least acceptable. Dane Cook and Dax Sheppard have a real belieable rivalry and its fun to watch the two try to outwit each other. Simpson basically plays herself, so I guess she did a good job. Basically, her acting talent matched the level of material she was required to perform.

THE EXTRAS
Commentary with Director Greg Coolidge and Dane Cook
Fans of Dane Cook, which is probably most of the people who watched this film, will enjoy this commentary. Cook did a great job of keeping me amused and interested and the director gives plenty of interesting tidbits.
Alternate super club opening
This is a lengthy alternative opening to the film that acts as a set up for where the characters are now. We see Dane Cook and back when they are first starting their job at the Super Club and it also features a cameo by Eva Longoria. It's definitely worth checking out (mainly to see Cook's odd haircut), though it's not as good as the opening in the film.
Dane Cook Wants You!
Here are three video clips that people on myspace.com sent in to Employee of the Month's website's contest. These are the top three and though they are mildly amusing, they are completely random and not worth watching.
Ad-libs
Featured here are four clips of Harland Williams and Andy Dick doing some Ad-lib work in the film. None of these make it in to the film and I can understand why since for the most part they weren't that funny or original.
At work with Lon
Here are two clips of Lon (Andy Dick) at work with two costumers. Unfortunately for these customers, Lon can't see that well. The joke kind of gets old quick, but these two clips are short and sweet so check them out.

THE VIDEO
16x9 Widescreen. Pretty standard stuff here. No interesting camera work in this movie, but the film does look good.
THE AUDIO
5.1 Dolby Digital Surround EX Audio and 2.0 Dolby Digital Audio. English and Spanish Subtitles.
THE PACKAGE
Standard DVD case. The cover features the three main characters on a shopping cart. Pretty simple design, but its effective.
THE FINAL WORD
Employee of the Month won't be the funniest movie you see this year, but if you give it a shot, it may just surprise you and give you some good laughs.
