THE GOOD
The best thing about this dvd is the fact that the story centers on the very exciting arena of Streetball.
THE BAD
Older teenagers and adults will not enjoy this film as much as the kids.
THE FEATURE
Everybody wants to be like mike, especially Jerome Jenkins (Jascha Washington). Jerome is a 12-year old who wants to become a streetball legend. Back in the day his father was a local basketball legend who choked during a game and unfortunately never made it to the NBA. To add insult to injury Jerome's father has adopted the moniker of "choker". Jerome hopes to erase these bad memories by becoming the best.
Jerome gets no respect on the court he's too young, too slow and too short. He tries everything to make himself better even going to the extent of wearing ankle weights and hanging upside down. Lucky for Jerome, a pair of old air-jordans appears just in time to elevate his game significantly. Once the sneakers are hit with a bolt of lightening they become magical and the legend of Jerome begins. Now the kid has the skills to pay the bills. He can dribble, drive and slam like no other. Jerome becomes a star but finds out that there is a price for his new found fame.
Streetball is the direct to video sequel to Like Mike and has two things going for it. One the story is a little less preposterous than the first film, and two the main man Jerome (Washington) won't annoy you. Younger kids will get a big kick out of this movie especially if they're into basketball. I liked the fact that this movie is about streetball which can be just as entertaining as the NBA. So the bottom line is that younger kids will have a blast with Steetball, teenagers and adults can check out more suitable B-ball films.

THE EXTRAS
This DVD contains three featurettes "Making Like Mike 2", "We're playing basketball" and "Streetball". They provide more insight into the films production and more importantly streetball which is the featurette that I enjoyed the most. "Time Out: Deleted Scenes" of course has some deleted scenes that were left on the cutting room floor and this feature proves why they should stayed there.
THE VIDEO
"Streetball 2" is presented in both widescreen (Aspect Ratio 1.78:1) and Fullscreen (Aspect ratio: 1.33:1). The picture quality is decent enough for a direct to video feature.
THE AUDIO
This film is present in English Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound, and Spanish and French 2.0 sound. The subtitle options are Spanish and French. The sound is pretty good making decent use of the surround speakers, but it won't blow you away and it's not supposed to.
THE PACKAGE
The "Like Mike 2: Streetball" dvd comes on two discs, one is for widescreen and the other for Fullscreen. The box art is ho-hum, the front has a picture of the star coming at you getting ready to dunk with his friends looking on. The back has some shots of some of the other participants in the film.
THE FINAL WORD
This film speaks to a much younger audience who won't give a damn about anything that I've written here. Like I said younger kids will love it. As a dvd it is decent. You have the option of full or widescreen and there are some extras to check out as well.
