Christian Bale returns to Gotham City as Batman. He scours the city at night fighting crime and after the events of the first film, he now is taken for a fool in a cape. In "Batman Begins" the final scene depicts Batman and Lt. Jim Gordon on a rooftop in which Gordon shows Batman the calling card of a man with multiple homicides and robberies amongst other things. This leads to the introduction of The Joker.

In this film, Batman faces new challenges as the war on crime escalates when the Joker (Heath Ledger) vows to kill someone everyday until Batman reveals who he is. In Bruce's personal life, he finds that Rachel Dawes is romatically linked to Harvey Dent who believes Batman is good person.

The film is as stunning to watch in Hi-Def as it is in the theaters. The quality of the picture is amazing, especially in scenes that are film outside on rooftops and buildings. The special effects that are used are great to watch in HD, for example the car chase sequence in which Batman tries to prevent The Joker from killing Harvey Dent in a SWAT truck.

The film includes some great special features which I found very interesting. Which includes "Batman Tech" which explores gadgets that were created and used by Batman in the film. "Batman Unmaked" is another amazing feature that lets you enter the world and theories of what makes Batman do what he does but actual psycologists.

It also features galleries of concept art, poster art and trailers & TV spots.

I believe, whether on DVD, Blu-Ray or HD, THE DARK KNIGHT is a film that should be owned not only by fans of the comic books.
