Hancock DVD: Review By The Dark Knight

Meh..Will Smiths done better movies..this movie is MEDIOCRE

This movie was okay. I didn't fall in love with it. I don't like the 4th act of the movie. Will Smith was alright in this one. Jason Bateman is always good I can remember when I first saw him it was in Arrested Development. It was a good TV show it just wasn't its time.

When I first saw the trailer for this I thought it would be great then I watched the trailer again and I said WHAT IS THE ANTAGONIST IN THIS MOVIE? Hes a new age Superman so I don't think that a bank robber or some street thug is going to be a problem. The movie isn't really about that its about him trying to clean up his act. Hes an *SSHOLE. He save a mans life (Jason Bateman) he is about to get hit by a train all the cars around him are stuck and Hanc*ck saves him but there is a lot of Collateral Damage. The train crashes and makes a huge mess. The man is very thankful for him saving his life and everyone else hates him for it. SO he helps him clean up his act and tells him to do time. and ...yadiya... I can't believe that they had that big twist which brought it in a different direction! JUST STUPID!

The Line Up

Will Smith - He was alright in this movie but hes always likable. Hes done better movies. On the poster for I am legend you could barely see him in the poster you would have to take a close look at it to see him in it. In the ONE and ONLY Theatrical poster for Hanc*ck there was a close up pic of Will Smith and thats it. They knew Will Smith Sold tickets so they just plastered his face on the poster.

Jason Bateman - I love this guy he can be so funny. I love his movies. The TV show of Arrested Development was just great I don't get why it got canceled?! He does a good job in this movie.

Peter Berg - I can remember seeing him in Collateral ,The kingdom and Smokin' Aces. I like him but this isn't his best film. I think The Kingdom is his best. He also Directed The Rundown and has been Announced to Direct Dune. He did an alright Job on this movie.

Michael Mann - I don't really get why he would produce this movie? But what ever its just producing it. Its not like he directed it. I would be pissed off if he would have directed this and have end up to be the same way Peter made this movie.

replay Value - umm yeah you could watch it again

picture - was alright I could totally tell where the CGI was when the road was breaking apart.

Sound - The sound is good.

extras - Nawww this is the single disk no special features I'm not going to argue cause there isn't that many special features in this one.

    NOW I know why Mann produced this! Him and Peter go back. Peter Berg was in Collateral and Michael also produced The Kingdom they must be friends. Also yeah Javier Bardem was Felix. Collateral is so cool its a must see!

    Agreed CBF. They had a good idea and blew it. I mean, a guy with superpowers and he doesn't know why he has them is a good premise, but then... like you say "the huge revelation"... he finds out why and it fell to sh*t. So sad. It could've been a contender.. haha.

    Alright so I just watched it, and I must admit, the movie tried. And it did have it's good points, but towards the late-middle to end, the movie sorta fell off where it had started out. Went in a completely different direction. I mean COME ON! The huge revelation in the middle of the movie was its downfall. From there on out, it was sh*t.

    Well I never wanted to see this, but I saw the parts where he goes to jail and homeboy attempts to "clean up his act" by marketing him and such. Which those scenes were okay. I don't know. It's completely over-the-top, but it's got soul. Still haven't seen it, I'm just talking about that scene. My friend/roommate is big on Will Smith, so he's about to rent it, then I'll see the whole thing. I'm thinking maybe I judged a movie by its trailer. Which is something you NEVER want to do.
