24: Season Five DVD: Review By Courtney O.

You can't really get better than this. 24 is not one of the three highest-rated TV shows for nothing.

THE GOOD
You can't really get better than this. 24 is not one of the three highest-rated TV shows for nothing.
THE BAD
The only bad thing is that you have to wait nearly a year for the next season to come out. And this is one show you just can't watch one episode at a time.
THE FEATURE
Jack Bauer is back, provoked out of his forged death to bring justice to the conspirators behind President Palmers assassination. What follows is 24 hours of heart-pumping action and drama that 24 audiences have grown to not only love, but also physiologically need. It's no wonder fans describe 24 as addictive. 24 is one of the only shows that you cannot, absolutely cannot, watch only one episode of in a sitting. I took back 24 season five in about 5 sittings. That averages 4.8 episodes per sitting. And I enjoyed every minute of every hour of it.

Season Five has many raving that it's the best season yet and I couldn't agree more. Not only does it unravel one giant dilemma that keeps you on your toes, it all connects and doesn't seem contrived a bit. The eeriness of the storyline is a political conspiracy that is all too familiar, and truly shows, step by step, how government functions beyond the narrow scope of the public eye. It is intellectually intriguing, and packs a punch.
