Dark City DVD: Review By glorious_dead

I haven't seen this movie since it came out in theatres. I really enjoyed it then. I have always been a big fan of film noir... This film and CITY of the lost Children were probably my favorite movies of the late 90s.. the style is unbeatable. if you released this movie today in the theatres it would be a blockbuster(it was definitely before its time). You can watch this movie and it is timeless.

The story is very odd. maybe that is why I am drawn to this film. it seems like a matrix prequel almost. and at sometimes reminds me of Darren Aronofsky's PI.. the circles.. the swirls.. they city always lives in the dark.. at midnight all people sleep. some are injected with new memories and lifes, 6 murdered hookers, and one guy who is not effect by sleep, roll all this up and add beings with telekinetic powers who seek the souls of humans. One big nightmare!
