THE GOOD
Jeff Cesario is a very entertaining and witty comic.
THE BAD
It would have been nice to see a doc*mentary of what Jeff Cesario is like offstage when there are no cameras around.
THE FEATURE
Jeff Cesario: You Can Get a Hooker Tomorrow Night is a DVD from a comic I have heard about for some time, but it took me sitting down and watching this DVD to understand why I was familiar with him, even though I had never really seen him perform. Whether he is talking about his life, things that bother him or politics, this guy seems to be the advocate of the devil's advocate. All in all, this is a highly consistent comedic performance and one that gave me some of the same feelings that I had when I first saw Eddie Murphy as young kid.

That was why he felt familiar.
THE EXTRAS
Deleted Scenes

Yet again, I don't understand why the folks at Goldhil Entertainment have felt the need to put these parts of Cesario's performance in the deleted scenes section. It doesn't make any sense because it isn't like this DVD had to be trimmed for time purposes. Oh well, they are on here and if you liked the show you should certainly watch these scenes.
THE VIDEO
Anamorphic Widescreen - 1.85:1. I don't think that this DVD was captured on film. It looks like every other comic special I have ever seen, so it isn't like there is really much to say from an aesthetic sense. However, the picture is quite clean and I didn't notice any moments where the compression seemed to negatively effect what I was seeing on screen.
THE AUDIO
Language: English. They don't list what kind of sound is used on this DVD, but overall it's fine. Lets be honest, this is essentially a spoken word piece so how complicated is it going to be to record what's going on? Nothing too special about the audio but I don't think people are buying this DVD to test out their home theater systems.
THE PACKAGE
Jeff Cesario stands on this front cover showing off a look of accomplishment. Behind him is a picture of himself on stage. While I am not sure what the angle is on this layout, this DVD seems like it's creating a brand around the comedian. On the back are more shots of Cesario on stage, a description of what kind of comic he is and some technical specs. Simple packaging, for a simple DVD.
THE FINAL WORD
There is an unassuming quality that Jeff Cesario has that I think helps his cause. He looks like the kind of guy who would just go with the flow. The sort of person that wouldn't be recognizable in a crowd, yet he is someone who has definite opinions about the world and his own life. As somebody who isn't afraid to have and express an opinion, Cesario really is that guy you want to sit down with and talk about the world. Another thing I liked about his performance, is that he doesn't seem angry. Actually, he's more like someone who just doesn't understand why things happen to be the way they are.
