Let the Right One In pumps new life into an overly familiar and tired vampire genre. The movie does something fresh and innovative with a category of horror film that seemed to be all played out.

Even though it's dark and frequently chilling Let the Right One In contains some very affecting and oddly amusing moments. These moments focus on the central relationship between a young boy who is being bullied and a young girl vampire who recently moved into his apartment.

The movie's intriguing premise drew me in and I was impressed by the rest of the film. It didn't disappoint. My expectations were definitely met.
