If you remember back in the mid 80's Patrick Dempsey played a character by the name of Ronal Miller in a Romcom called " Can't Buy Me Love". While I watched this movie I could not get that strange naisily voice out of my head, thus taking his character without serious motives and notions.

Patrick Dempsey stars as Tom Bailey, a millionaire inventor of the coffee collar whose way of life just happens to be permiscuious relations with a different women every other day or week with no strings attatched. His best friend happens to be Hannah played by Michelle Monaghan who he met 10 years earlier drunk at a Halloween party dressed up like Bill Clinton looking for of all people, yes you guessed it, Monica Lewinski.

Tom and Hannah spend all their time together. Hannah happens to be an artist who gets an assignment for 6 weeks in Scotland only to return engaged to a wealthy heir to the McMurray Distillery, Collin played by Kevin McKidd, to Tom's surprise. While she was in Scotland Tom realizes he actually loves Hannah and wants to tell her as soon as she returns.Hannah has other things in mind as she wants him to become her " Maid of Honor". He accepts and the wedding is to be held in Scotland. The next hour of the movie he spends trying to tell Hannah she is the one, only to be interrupted constantly.

The movie constantly reminded me of another movie made of a similar plot called " My Best Friend's Wedding" starring Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz and Dermot Mulroney. This happened to be much funnier because of the cast and their intensions to carry the picture onto the screen.
